That's a tough one to answer. I should tell you to wait until at least 12 DPO to test, but then I'd be a hypocrite, lol! I have gotten too anxious and tested as early as 9 DPO before. I say, if you have a ton of tests and are prepared to expect the early ones to be BFNs, then test whenever the urge hits you. Otherwise, I'd wait. It can get costly and once the POAS bug hits you...it's hard to resist!

How many DPO are you now?

I got my BFP at 10 DPO I believe. I wouldn't test any sooner than that. Some people get their BFP by 8 DPO and others by 12 DPO, so everyone is different!

With last pregnancy I didn't get my BFP until 13dpo also. Not sure how many I was with DD. I'd also say 12dpo is generally a pretty good time to test. But, I've also tested as early as.....oh 6dpo Sometimes I will test early just to get the urge out of the way or use OPK's just to POAS

I am a POAS addict and usually start at 7 DPO The earliest I've gotten a BFP was 10 DPO and on a cheapie it was practically invisible but a clear line on a FRER

I used to test from 7dpo thinking I'd watch it build in strength but really all it did was do my head in.

I now wait until I'm 17dpo. It's insane but I refuse to let my heart have reign until then.

Try to wait as long as possible UNLESS seeing a negative won't bring you down. I have seen so many women test starting 7dpo and a little later and get negatives and get down and then around 12-13dpo get a positive.

FF says most accurate day to test is like DPO13-14 (duh, wait and it's more accurate ). I agree with Katie, if seeing negatives will crush you...then wait. I usually breakdown at DPO8 and start testing....with 2nd & 3rd pregnancies I got a + for both on DPO9. But there's a lot of ladies who test negative until DPO12-13 before they get a +

I'm a waiter because the negative tests just crush me. I try to wait until AF is due or the day before. I feel like if it's going to be positive, it should be positive by then.

Your body can have elevated LH levels throughout your cycle. (PCOS is one cause of this which I have). My OPK's literally almost always have a line. I have to be very careful to make sure it's a positive and is darker than the control line to know that I have O'd. If this continues you might want to talk to your doctor about it. I'm not saying it's any reason to be of concern but it is sometimes an indicator of PCOS.

I like to try and wait until the day or two before AF is due. I usually spot before AF starts up, so if there's no spotting I get suspicious. With my last pregnancy I tested at like 10 DPO and got a BFN...I KNEW I shouldn't have done it! But I did get the BFP a couple days later.
