I am thinking about ordering a box of tests. I found on walmart.com that FRER is 12.98 for 3tests and Answer tests are 12.00 for 4tests. I have always used FRER but the Answer test looks the same and is suppose to have the same sensitivity. I have never tried the Answer tests. Does anyone know if they are as good as FRER? I ordered new Wondfos and am just wanting something to back them up. Last month I had a horrible time with false + from the bad batch of Wondfos. Thankfully the new Wondfos have a different expiration date. I have already tested the Wondfos from last month to this month. When the witch showed I had 1 left from the bad batch. I used it and a new one to see what would happen and got another faint + on the old and not even a shadow of a line on the new set. Beware my bad batch of Wondfos expiration date was 08/2013.

FRER: Walmart.com: First Response Early Result Pregnancy Test, 3 tests: Medicine Cabinet

Answer Pregnancy Tests: Walmart.com: Answer Pregnancy Test Kit 2ct, 2pk Bundle: Medicine Cabinet

I have heard of good & bad with both the FRER and the Answer brand. More bad with the Answer brand but I really just think it depends on the batch you get. The wondfo's have been great but me but then again you just had a bad batch of those. I think it's just the luck of the drawl unfortunately.

I would get some Wondfos and some FRER. One cycle I had nothing but evaps with Answers. I would maybe even call them false positives. It was terrible. I vowed never to buy Answers again.

I can say that the batch of Answers I had were not NEARLY as sensitive as the FRER. I got a faint positive the night of 8DPO on a FRER with an HCG of less than 10. They are that sensitive. I had my HCG drawn the next morning and that was when it was 10. I did not get any positive on an Answer test until the next morning (10DPO) when my HCG was probably around 40. After my first draw, I had a second done two mornings later and it was 93, so the 40 is just an estimate. But still, it proves that FRER are much more sensitive.

To that end CBE digis are super sensitive too. I got a positive the morning I got my blood drawn with an HCG of 10.

And the thing that bothered me about Answers was that their lines never got consistantly darker. From 10DPO to 16DPO or so, they all looked similar to me. They would darken a little, but the next one would be lighter and completely freak me out. FRER did not do that, which was the only thing that kept me sane in that time period.

Good luck with whatever you choose. It is so hard to get false results!

I also found that Answer was not as sensitive for me. My lines on the FRER were noticeably darker than the ones on the Answer test. I had a bad batch of Wondfos that did not show my pregnancy when I'd had a BFP on three other brands. I did buy some more Wondfos because I have heard of people getting great results, but I'm nervous about them being a bad batch again.

That's why I am wanting to get a second test to back up the Wondfos. What did you do with your bad batch? Did you call amazon?

Thanks ladies. I guess I will stick with FRER. I about bought a box of Answer test last month but my Walmart in town had FRER 2stick test with 1 free for $8 and ended up being cheaper than the Answer tests. I am hoping they still have them or have got some in for the same price.

That sucks that you got a bad batch of wondfo's. I was spending so much money each month on FRER and Answer brand - having the cheap wondfo's helped me feel better about my poas addiction! I actually got a bfp on the wondfo before the FRER!

That's my plan, too. Test with Wondfos but back up with FRERs. I ended up contacting the seller and they sent me replacements.

I haven't ever had a problem with answers or FRER. I'm kind of a bargain shopper so I would go for the answers.
