Hi ladies

I've only posted in here a few times, but I lurk a lot! I have a question about the first AF you get after a miscarriage. I found out via u/s that we were dealing with a blighted ovum when I was 11 weeks along. Since I hadn't had any bleeding or spotting up until then, I took the misoprostol to move things along. I took it on Dec 21st and passed what I needed to over a few days. Then there was on and off spotting for about 2 weeks.

When should I expect my first AF? The dr said anywhere from 4-6 weeks from the start of the miscarriage. It's been 5.5 weeks... I want it to come so we can try again! I took a HPT 10 days ago to make sure it came out negative like they asked me to do.

We haven't been preventing pregnancy, like we were told to do, but we've only DTD a couple of times since I stopped spotting. I don't feel pregnant though. Wondering if i need an u/s to make sure everything's out?

It really can very as to when AF starts. Mine have varied for all of my losses. Some were 4 weeks and up to 9 weeks when I had to have meds to bring on AF. Do you know if you have O'd or not since your loss? If you have then there is a chance that you could be pregnant. I would say if your really worried call the doctor and get a BT. They can see if you have O'd and if you are pregnant.

I am so sorry for your loss

For both my D&C and D&E I bled for a week or more afterwards then spotted for another couple weeks. My m/c at home, I had one night of super intense bleeding and bled for a week or so. After all 3 AF usually came around 30 days after the loss.

Thanks for the responses

I have had quite a lot of cm, on and off since I stopped spotting, but I haven't used opk's or temping or anything, so I'm not sure if I've ovulated since the m/c.

A blood test is a smart idea though. I will try to see my dr this week or next to get some answers.
