Today I am on day 3 of +OPKs. I know I started ovulating last night because of the pain I was having. Ovulation for me feels like the start of AF. Today I was sure my OPKs would start to lighten and there not. CD14 they were = dark, CD15 the test line was darker than the control, and CD16 they are = dark. Also I have start cramping again like I did last night, not as bad but it's there. Has anyone had anything like this happen? I don't know what is going on. My temps are rising also?

A positive OPK is when the test line is darker than the control line. When they are equally dark it's technically not positive. Usually for me I get 1-2 days of it the same as the control line and then one day of it darker and then back down to almost. Hope that helps hun and catch that eggie!

I thought positive was if it was as dark or darker. Maybe you're having a long surge this cycle?

Hmm I'm not sure. If you read up on them some of them are only considered positive if the are darker than the control line. Usually if they are as dark as the control line they are "almost positive". But either way you should be Oing soon

I think it depends on which opk you are using. Some say as dark or darker than the control line. And some say the line has to be darker. Mine say as dark or darker.

This is from wondfo's ovulation tests. Which is what I am using.
HOW TO READ THE RESULTS?
No LH Surge: Only one color band appears on the control region,
or the test band appears but is lighter than the control band. This
means there is no LH surge.
LH Surge: If two color bands are visible, and the test band is
equal to or darker than the control band, one will probably ovulate
in the next 24-48 hours. If trying to get pregnant, the best time to
have intercourse is after 24 but before 48 hours.
Invalid: No visible band at all. Repeat with a new test kit. If test
still fails, please contact the distributor or the store where you
bought the product, with the lot number.

Thanks sweetie, me too!! My main worry was PCOS. I don't think I have it but I think that is a sign for it.

I have PCOS and for me my OPK's almost always have some sort of line. Sometimes it's pretty dark too. I think I have a picture at home of how mine are so if I can tonight I'll try to post it for you. For mine to be positive it has to be darker than the control like this
I will try to post the other one for you tonight hun.

Mine have a line almost my whole cycle which is an indication of PCOS. Normally you should get a line and it get progressively darker and then a positive and then it go back to nothing.

I was wondering if I have a day of the test line being darker than the control line and then the next day it's back to being equally positive, would the next day be really considered positive? I am asking because that's really what is happening and I think it is screwing up my FF chart.

That's how mine was last month the first two days it was just equaly as dark as the control then on day three it was darker than the control and day four it was back to being equaly as dark and I o the next day. I hope this cycle I don't have four days of positives. Maybe a true positive is when it is darker and that's why we are thinking we are having days of positives when we are realy only having one or two days of true positives.

I haven't had that before, but I'd count both as positives.
