Ultrasound tech asked weird question? (Poss. Pg. Ment)

Hey ladies

I am new here my name is Chantal I have a 7 year old daughter and TTC

I went through a miscarriage in the summer and when I was going through it I had multiple ultrasounds done and they had found two cysts at different times . One on my left ovary and the next ultrasound they found one in my tube so now months later my doctor sent me for a pelvic and abdominal ultrasound as a check up today. They found another cyst on my right ovary small I don't think its cause for concern but when I first went in he and he started doing the scan he asked if I was using birth control recently I said no because I am TTC but maybe he said that cause he saw something ? It would be to early to see a baby or sack because I would only be about 3 and a half weeks but when I had my last miscarriage the lady doing the ultrasound was taking about thickening of the uterus lining in early pregnancy .

Any thoughts ???? I got excited when he asked if I was using birth control because I found it odd he would ask randomly if he didn't see something ? My period is due in 2 days hoping to not see it..

Hoping this is the month!!! Have wanted another for a while

thank you! I finally decided to become a part of a forum its so nice to surround your self with people who have been through similar situations

Well I found it odd he would ask but either way I think I am just impatient lol I have a doctors appointment Tuesday so ill ask him to do a test

Good luck! I don't know why they would ask that. I know you do develop a cyst on the ovary that ovulated on when you become pregnant. So maybe it could be that?

Yes I just hate testing to early lol but I think I might just take one tomorrow I hate the waiting period!!! .... if I ovulated when I think I did then I am 12 DPO so I should be able to

I think sometimes I just think I am going crazy for wanting to test and thinking into things sooooooo much but it is so hard as im sure you all know

Welcome and Im sorry for your loss last year. As for the question of whether or not your on bc, it could be because bc is sometimes prescribed to reduce ovarian cysts.......sometimes they ask when you have had a repeated history of having them....and then all of a sudden yours are shrinking or getting fewer. Either way, good luck!
