How long after a dnc do you usually ovulate?? Do you ovulated before you get your AF?? I am just curious when to be on the look out.. Thanks !

Not crazy at all. Your hCG needs to get down to 0, then your body will start the process of ovulation. I ovulate on CD 11, so after my loss (at 5 weeks) my hCG was down to 0 quickly, so I only ovulated late by 2 days. I got my first AF 13 days later, but had 5 days of spotting first. I had a natural miscarriage, but I believe the idea is the same.

You won't ovulate until your HCG is back to zero. I didn't have a d&c but it took about five weeks from when I lost my baby until I got my first AF. I think it's different for everyone. Hopefully your cycle will come back quickly so you can TTC soon.

With my D&C I was farther along. Unfortunately my body didn't figure things out and I actually had to have meds to bring on AF (9 weeks after my loss). For most people after the D&C your numbers drop quickly. You should ovulate around 2 weeks after your numbers drop. But it can vary. If you use OPK's be careful because until your HCG is out of your system then can give you a false positive. (PS Not a crazy question and that's what we are here for)

I want to ovulate NOW I know, I need to wait realistically I understand and respect that, I just want to be in a tww already.. Funny how you just want your body back to having a bean inside again.. Doesnt mean I am not grieving, just trying to get back to normal asap..

I even went to class last night, but my teacher made me leave and go back home

I completely understand. After my loss, I didn't think I would ever be happy again until I was pg. I think that is completely normal. I think it also feels like everything takes so much longer. Longer to ovulate, longer until you can test, just longer, longer, longer. I hope it happens quickly for you!

I know exactly what you mean I had my first D&E on a Saturday and went to work the following Monday, my boss was like, you don't have to be here, but I did, had to get back to routine so that my mind wasn't constantly thinking about things! It's hard and I think we can all relate to wanting things to go back to normal! Hang in there, I hope your body does right away!

I got my period about 4w and a couple of days after my D&E both times, but again, as others have said, it varies. I was 8 weeks with the first and 12 with the second.

I understand. I'm in my first post-loss TWW and the thought of not being pregnant brings me to tears because I need to be pregnant again with my rainbow!
