I've been thinking about posting this for a while...
Where does your username come from?
In my high school Spanish class, we got to pick Hispanic names to go by during class. On the list of names we got, it said Belita means Betty, which is my nana's name. I decided to go by that name since it honored Nana and I've just always loved it since.

I love where your username comes from
Mine was something my great grandmother called me - it means human c*ck...ummm, so the story behind this...my great grandmother was very prim and proper a regular Emily Post, but during her last few years, she became a very persnickety and rather vulgar woman. I was visiting her at the hospital one day and when I walked into the room, she looked up and said there is my little humnck...we all couldn't believe that was coming from our sweet old grandmother, we were cracking up, it all went downhill from there and that just stuck with me, for high school graduation, I got a personalized license plate with that on it. I have actually been stopped by police directing traffic, just to find out what it means. I don't have that license plate anymore, but it was pretty funny when I did

I read a book many years ago - I believe it was The Last Stand by Stephen King - where in the first few pages it was about a young family trying to get away from a horrible disease and their little babygirl was called Lavonne. I loved that name and thought Lav in short would be pronounced like love - just a lovable name
It's not a nickname I use very often. Usually I go by Kyria, which back when I chose that one, I thought I'd completely made that up, until a friend told me it was actually a word and means something like dominant or something like that lol

I know this will shock some people but DH's name is Mark. Crazy, I know!! I wasn't feeling particularly creative after my loss when I signed up for JM so that was apparently the first thing that came to mind.

It's nice though that the first thing you thought about is your husband

So mine is my nickname I grew up with all the guys. In our neighborhood there were literally zero girls so I did all the things little boys do and we just continued our friendship throughout school and still now. They started off calling me shorty and then when we were teenagers the one said to me "I'm going to start calling you strawberry shortcake" ... I looked at him like he was crazy. He then said "well your short and sweet". All of the guys agreed so the nickname stuck

I have had the same username since High School. I was also so confused about guys and which one I liked my friends would call me that. I still use it 12 years later. LOL. Too lazy to pick a new one I guess!

I use this handle for a lot of things where I need a user name. I am pretty sneaky like a ninja and have had the nickname for awhile in high school. It also sounds close to my name: Nena And the mommy part you know for being a mommy!

Mine comes from John Denver's 'Country Roads'. I am a West Virginia gal, born and raised, now stuck in the midwest. (I like it here too, but I miss my mountains!) The song is one of my all time favorites and I say all the time "You can take the girl out of the mountains, but you can never take the mountains out of the girl", so it seemed appropriate. I had a couple of others on here before this one, but they didn't feel right. This one does and it's been around for several years.
