Could I be Oing too late? I normally her a pos opk on day 18 and 19 then O on day 20. This past cycle I got 4 pos opks and I Oed on day 21. Could Oing on day 20+ be part of my problem/

How long are your cycles? The general rule of thumb is that 10 days between when you O and when AF arrives is around the minimum to support pregnancy, and 12-14 days is ideal. My luteal phase was short (usually 10 days), and my OB put me on prometrium. It lengthened my LP to 12 days, which is more conducive to a healthy pregnancy.

I ovulated on cd 28 with my daughter so I am not sure if a later ovulation is the while problem, but it could be a factor for sure. I have heard a late ovulation means a egg of less quality.

It could be. When I finally went to an RE he felt that my late ovulation was a big factor in my 3 losses. He said there was no way to be 100% sure, but that's what he thought was the issue. My OB never had a problem with my late O, but he was an idiot anyway and wasn't even interested in running the recurrent loss blood work much less anything else. My RE put me on Clomid and I Oed much earlier, but it thinned my lining too much. So we tried Follistim, and that was the lucky charm.

My RE also thinks that late O could be a problem. I think there's something to it.. either it's not growing at the right speed, or it is growing but by the time the LH surge starts it's "overripe" and the quality starts to degrade. That's why my RE doesn't like it growing past 20/22mm without an LH surge if I'm already at CD15/16. This cycle it only popped when it was already 24mm but she didn't mind as much because I was only CD13. If you see an RE it's something I'd mention. On the other hand, I've seen late Os result in totally normal pregnancies as well. So it's one of those things that might be a problem sometimes but not in all cases.

This is very true! I Oed late with 5 of my 6 pregnancies (the only one I Oed on time was with medical assistance) and I wound up with 3 losses, DS, and DD. My RE told me sometimes late O can work out ok and be a successful pregnancy and sometimes not. If I knew then what I know now (and had a doctor who cared) I would have asked for help with Oing on time in hopes to spare the losses if that would have been possible.
