oops posted in sub forums told to come over here. here's what i wrote...

I've had a few miscarriages in the past few years. One or two were early on (10 weeks and 5 weeks) But the others were mid-term. Always between 16-18 weeks. I really wish I could figure out what happens at that time. It's really late for losing I think. And the fact that it happens every time is strange to me. I know the sex is determined around then, I just can't think of what else major would happen that the baby would be fine and my insides looked okay but the babys heart stops beating. I'm pretty numb to it now. Of course anytime I am pregnant I want to enjoy it when I am and i try to be happy about it but of course im sure you all know it's not that easy. The last time I was pregnant I finally got to take the nausea pills and they are a god send. I would get morning sickness so bad that I'd be stuck in bed and could hardly eat.

So I should be going back for tests in the next few weeks, which tests I'm not really sure, but to see if they can tell what's going on. I've read they might not find anything. I know they'll dye inside my uterus to check it out but an ultrasound tech did check once and said it looked fine. So we'll see. I know i don't have the blood clotting because they did check for that. The babies seemed fine too. So we'll see.

There are so many different things, blood clotting factors, etc., that it could be. I think another possibility during that time period is incompetent cervix. I hope the testing will give you some answers.

I have had losses at 14 weeks and 16 weeks. (and 5 other early losses) With my last one at 16 weeks, I KNOW the baby was healthy. We had a CVS done. His heart was beating the night before I lost him. I have had a ton of tests done in the past and they just have no answers for me. I just wanted you to know you aren't alone

If you would like to see pictures of my sweet (but tiny) boy they can be viewed at www.caringbridge.org/visit/noahdarrohn they aren't the easiest pitures to look at but I am willing to share them with anyone who would like to see them <3
On August 2, 2012 we lost Sarah at 17 weeks. She was our 8th loss Her pictures can be viewed at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/sarahdarrohn
There is no known explanation for my losses.

I'm so sorry
I really hope your doctor can give you answers. On the other hand, sometimes there just isn't an answer. Our daughter was stillborn at 33 weeks and we still don't have the answers.
I know I might be in the minority here but if anything it has made me appreciate life a little bit more. Pregnancy and birth and life are all so fragile, it takes everything to line up perfectly. It's nothing short of a miracle.
I pray that one day you (and the rest of us) get to experience and be a part of this precious miracle! HUGS!

I am so sorry for your losses. I have had one loss at 18 weeks and one at 7 weeks. The 18 week loss for me they determined that the egg placement in the uterus was bad and the blood flow was not good there. Life is real fragile and it is a miracle when a new life is birthed. I really do hope that the tests can answer the questions to why it does happen.

Delurking for a moment.
I have had several losses, two of them were second trimester stillbirths (24 and 25 weeks). We had genetic testing, etc. but the doctor's had no idea what was wrong. With my last pregnancy (with our daughter), I was monitored very closely (weekly dr.'s appts and u/s every other week) which ultimately saved our daughter's life. It was at that point that we found out what was wrong, and it was something so rare that nobody ever thought to check for it. The reason I am telling you all of this is that I know how hard it is to keep losing your babies, yet having no idea why. Even if it seems like nobody has the answer, there is hope. It is such a difficult road, and I hope they can find the reasons for your losses soon.
