So I had my appointment with my OB yesterday & he told me that I can resume normal activities, but when I asked him about exercising he didn't tell me yes or no he just told me I would bleed more..he said any "extra" activity would cause more bleeding. I thought I had stopped bleeding but when I woke up yesterday I was bleeding & today I haven't had anything, so I don't know. I asked my doctor, and he said my body just doesn't know what to do right now. I am just confused as to when I can start trying. He told me he wanted me to wait until May but I don't want to wait that long, and he also told me I can DTD but we he wants DH to wear a condom? Does that mean it's not safe for him to "fertilize" (LOL) me or is he saying that just because he doesn't want me to get pregnant until May?

how heavily are you bleeding and when did it start? I'm looking at your ticker thinking if you've been bleeding for almost 4 weeks he should maybe be a little more concerned about that....if it's only been a couple of weeks of bleeding, then he's probably right that exercising may cause you to bleed more (i noticed that happening after both 1st & 2nd losses).

As for when to TTC again, OBs are all over the board on how long to wait...if he's telling you to use protection I'm assuming it's because he does not want you becoming pregnant before May. BUT if you want to TTC before then, I'd recommend you ask him to explain why he wants you to wait...he may have some good medical reasons to do so (esp. if you're bleeding for long periods of time, he may be worried for some other reason) and not simply because they sometimes think 3 months is an optimal wait for our emotional health.

Ditto this! And I agree if you have been bleeding for almost 4 weeks then I really think they need to do some checking because there could be some underlying issue.

I totally agree with both Lara and Katie. I hope that you are able to get some definitive answers and that your bleeding stops.

I lost my baby at 10 weeks but didn't know it until I thought I was 11W 6D pregnant. I had my surgery Feb 28th. I DID STOP BLEEDING THOUGH! I am finally done, I am so excited! That means I can start ttc again, although I don't think it will result in anything right now, maybe at the end of the month, that's what I am thinking, I wonder when most ladies ovulate after they stop bleeding, a week or two maybe? who knows, it's so unpredictable! I am just thrilled I can start trying again, hopefully I get pregnant right away!
