I totally agree! I wish my dog would at least put her toys back in their basket when she's finished playing with them, but so far no luck! Vacuuming up her own hair would be amazing too...and if she would pick up her own poop out of the yard, I would be thrilled!

My DD will be with her dad for Easter so its just me and DH. We are going to spend a quiet weekend enjoying the outdoors as most of our snow is gone and maybe enjoying each other a little....

Lovisa, that is GREAT!!!! Have you found that working out makes you crave healthier foods too? I have noticed that to be the case for me. Eating healthy and exercising is so much more effective than a traditional "diet"....especially in the long run. Plus, it's much less of a deprivation thing.

Yes I have noticed that I can easily say no to white flour type of food items and also desserts. So I stick with fruit or some sugar free and low fat desserts. Plus for food it is smaller portions and lots of greens and protein and sometimes brown rice, whole wheat (brown) sphagetti. Stuff like that.
Yesterday had grilled chicken with a salad of Spinach, roamine lettuce, cucumber, tomato and chopped up asparagus. lots of food and I ate half of the chicken.

How is your day going ladies?

I haven't posted on this feed yet and figured I would help with the cause. 200 sounds like a reasonable number and I think we can blow that by next week at the rate you ladies are going I have been surfing all of posts like crazy today since it is my Friday. I haven't had Good Friday off since I was in college so the long weekend is going to be a nice treat. I will be doing Easter at my mother in laws this Sunday which is great since I will have good cooking and won't have to worry about hosting anyone at my house. I don't mind helping to clear tables and do dishes when someone else is hosting.
I will most likely do a nice easter egg hunt and dying some eggs with my 4yr old. He already has all these crazy ideas of how he wants to dye/decorate the eggs. He has a big imagination.

Dying eggs used to be one of my most favorite activities when I was a kid. It was always so much fun to see what different designs I could create. I also liked to leave the eggs in the dye as long as possible to get them dark. I love that the tradition is still going strong and still makes kids so happy!

Ladies I feel like I have not got to sit down since yesterday! My life is just going in a whirlwind! Tonight I baked for Easter and I also started scrounging around the house for anything I can sell to get money for our IVF

What is everyone up to?

I am just lounging and soon going to bed! Tomorrow oil change on my car, go to wholesale club to get fruit for fruit salad that will be served at the easter feast. Then grilling tomorrow night again. Hopefully fish is on the menu. Two nights with red meat in a row. Change it up a little. Fish (salmon) with asparagus and carrots. Perhaps an odd mix but any veggies when in need of eating greens and good complex carb food.

I don't think that's a weird mix at all. It sounds delicious! I love asparagus. I wish it wasn't so expensive though. The last I checked it was $3.99/lb here. I have a friend out west who found it for $1.38/lb. I hope that price trend comes east!

I have to work this morning. Later today or tomorrow morning (if stores are open) I'm taking my brother shopping. We're having an 80's party for my best friend's birthday next weekend so we need to get some good outfits together. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

The asparagus that I bought was a bunch that was put together (probably a pound) was $1.88. It was on sale otherwise I would have thought plenty before buying.
I hope you and your brother find the 80's outfit to wear for your friend's birthday party. Happy Easter.
Also have a great work day.

I found asparagus last night for $1.58lb at Food lion. I live in SC. We found some tbones on sale last night so we are having steak, roasted potatoes, and asparagus for dinner.

Wow, it's encouraging to hear about the asparagus deals! I'll have to look again at my store and see if the price has gone down. Lovisa, did you make the fruit salad that Melissa posted in the weight loss recipes thread? I haven't tried it yet, but I will need to get the ingredients this week and make it.

I had a blast shopping with my "brother". He was babysitting my best friend's kids (he's her BIL) so we took them along. We told them that if they were good, we'd take them to McD's for happy meals. They were really good and both were in goofy moods so they kept us in stitches the whole time. We managed to get a few good things for our 80's outfits so it was a success.

I had a bad sleep last night...kept waking up off and on. I wouldn't mind so much, but I have to be at work at 7 this morning and all I want to do is fall back to sleep. I just realized I'm 13 DPO. Even though I'm bummed that there's no chance for a BFP for me, the stress-free 2ww is kind of nice.

Did everyone have a nice Easter?

I actually made my own fruit salad:
I sliced up strawberries and put splenda and some drops of lemon juice and let it sit for a little bit.
Put that together with blueberries, grapes both green and red and small peices of apple. Tasty.
We had a good easter with lovely weather. How was yours?
