I had a D&C 11 days ago (I was 9w5d along) I took a HPT today to see if my HCG was gone, and it is still quite dark! How long did it take for your HCG to fall post D&C? Can blood affect the results of a HPT?

With my last one it took me a few weeks, even though my numbers dropped really fast.

With my first one I had a D&C at 13w3d. It took me a little over 3 weeks for my numbers to reach zero. I know it sucks when you just want things to be over

So sorry for your loss. Like Katie it took me about 3 weeks with 2 of my miscarriages and longer with my ectopic pregnancy. I did not have a D&C though. Hoping that your body recovers quickly.

With my d/c (at 12ish weeks, although the baby stopped growing at 9), it took about a month. The last bits took the longest to drop. I had some bleeding issues after (although no retained tissue), so I don't know if that affected things. I don't think the blood will affect an hpt.

Everyone is different, and it varies depending on how far along you were, etc. I lost my baby at 10W and had the D&C at what should have been 12W. I bled for 2 weeks but I took a test 1 week after surgery and I was still bleeding, it was negative. So for me my levels went down to zero very quickly, and I got my first period 5W & 4D after surgery. Good luck!! & I am very sorry for your loss.

i am so sorry for your loss With my D&C (1st loss) it didn't take very long - maybe 10 days but I think that was to short end of the normal range post D&C. I hope yours start to fall quickly (((HUGS)))
