Hi ladies! My name is Suzanne an I have 3 wonderful kids who I love dearly but in the beginning of March I had a chemical pregnancy we are ntnp I guess since I am not on the pill or anything. I was just wondering how long it took your cycle to come back. On 3/5 my hcg level was 0 therefore not pregnant anymore. I bled an spotting off an on for that week. Now I am like cd 39 an no sign of AF. I would think since my levels went down quickly my cycle would return quickly also. I do not think I am pg since hubby was admitted in the hospital 10 days after I had the chemical pg an was there for 2 weeks then come back home for about another week then was back at the hospital for another 5 days. I know stress can effect everything but really I would think that she would have showed up by now. I took at pg test a couple of days after my period was expected an it was negative. Any ideas as to what is taking her so long to show up?

After a loss it can take awhile for your body to get back to normal.Sometimes after a loss your body make take on a new normal.I know its been over a year since my last loss and my cycles have never gone back to what they were before the loss.Give your body a little time to get back on track but if af dont show soon i would go to the doctor to make sure everything is ok.Sorry for your loss I hope things return to normal for you soon.

i'm very sorry for your loss

Usually (but there are exceptions to everything) after an early loss AF returns relatively quickly....but it's certainly possible your body is just a little out of whack post loss. I'd call your OB and see if they want you to come in - maybe they can give you something to help jumpstart AF....I had an early loss a couple of months ago and AF started about a week after my levels returned to 0.

I am very sorry for your loss. As the other ladies have said it really varies for each woman & loss. With my early losses AF came back pretty quickly. I would call your doctor and go in and see what they want to do. As Lara said they might want to start you on Provera to jump start AF. I had to go one it after my first loss.
