That's funny, I am the opposite.

We'd just started to talk about baby shopping when we experienced our loss, so technically I think we'd made some general decisions. But I want to be a lot further along in a pregnancy before I step foot in a baby store. I just wouldn't enjoy any of that right now. I did go to Babies R Us to get a shower gift two weeks ago, and I just focused on the registry, it didn't even occur to me to shop or wander for myself. (I don't like Babies R Us anyway, so I wouldn't enjoy meandering under any circumstances.)

I am reading "mommy-blogs," but I think that's half because I like the writing and the general thoughts on life, and the parenting ideas are just the bonus.

I'm totally like that! I think my main weakness is buying baby clothes when a season is over and everything it so cheap! Most of the other things I've looked at and picked out, but I haven't bought.

I do that!! I love getting on walmart.com and babiesrus.com to look at all the new stuff out. I even have a favorites tab on my internet explorer for baby boy and baby girl stuff. I look about once a month to help with stress and it gives me hope for a future baby.

I used to be so scared after my losses to visit the baby stuff. But now I can look at it but I don't buy it. The reason is I fear that it will never happen to me and then I will have the baby stuff to sit and look at.

I'm the same way as Katie. I may look, but I won't buy. About 6-7 months ago DH and I found an amazing deal on a highchair, carseat, and some other piece I can't quite remember and we really wanted to buy it. In fact were so close to buying it we ended up pushing ourselves out of the store twice before we decided no. Looking back, I'm glad we didn't. Having that sitting around here, even in storage, I couldn't handle looking at it because after these losses I'm just not quite sure a baby is in store for us. I still like to look when I go to stores, but most of the time I can only do it for a few minutes before I start thinking about how I should be a mommy already.

At one point I had bought so much stuff that I was pretty much fully prepared for a baby. I've sold most of it or donated stuff to families in need since. When the time comes I will probably be screaming during delivery about all the stuff I still need to buy for the baby. I'm terrified to buy anything at all for fear of jinxing myself.
