I posted here weeks ago about wanting to misscary naturally. I waited 6 weeks but nothing happened until yesterday a gush of blood came out out of nowhere and it was just a big mess everywhere . I was bleeding so much I had to go to the E.R it was like a nighmare and ended up getting an emergency D&C. My question is did any of you girls get headaches? Ever since the D&C I have been getting headaches. Is this normal?

I'm sorry you had to go through this and ended up with a D&C anyway. I m/c naturally with the help of misoprostol and haven't had any issues with headaches but not sure if it would be different with after a D&C. When is your follow up appointment? I think you should call and talk to your doctor and get an appointment.

I did get a headache, but it was only one day. It might be your hormones out of whack? Did you ever get PMS migraines? If so, I imagine it is just your hormones, but it never hurts to check with a doctor.

I had 2 D&E's and never had headaches from them, it is likely from your hormones being out of whack, as Krisnina said...I would still contact your doc, just to make them aware and check again that it is normal. I hope you feel better and I am so sorry for your loss!!

Have them check your blood....the hematocrit, etc. They can do a CBC. When I had my last miscarriage, which involved A LOT of bleeding...I had horrible headaches. I ended up getting a transfusion of 3 units of blood and that helped a lot. Lots of blood loss means headaches (and dizziness). I also had to get prescribed iron. If you lost a lot of blood, it's not out of the realm of possibility.

I did not have a D&C, btw.

I hardly ever get migraines and if I do I take a nap and it is gone. Taking a nap does not work I wake up in the middle of the night and I still have it. I was also thinking that this is due to blood loss but my doctors office said having a headache is normal

A headache that wakes you up in the middle of sleep is not normal! Is it possible to get an appointment with your Dr within the next day or so, instead of just talking to the nurse? If not, might think about going to an urgent care clinic or ER something where they will take you serious and do some test.
