Today I had my followup appointment with my OB. It has been two weeks one day since my D&C. I mentioned I had a lot of discharge just last night and then she began the exam. She then explained to me that I looked like I was ovulating and she said that if I were to have sex tonight it would likely end in pregnancy. She said my cervix looked like prime ovulation time. I asked her if it was a bad thing if I were to get pregnant right away and she said she didn't see anything wrong with it. She mentioned that a lot of doctors had different views, and in her opinion if I feel ready then I should go for it. She also mentioned that I am not a spring chicken. I feel like that is so true. If I want a baby, I better try when and as soon as I can.

So my DH and I left the appointment went directly home instead of returning to work and DTD! I then went out an bought a couple of OPKs just to be sure and there was nothing...I mean nothing, no even a faint line. Now I am totally bummed. Maybe my doctor was wrong, or I am hoping the OPK just didn't work.

I can't wait to TTC again, I actually feel some hope. Should I test the OPK again? I had peed like 2 hours before, does that matter?

Hi Im new but I was hoping to give you some hope I been using the opks since 2010 I would not put too much faith into them I use them to aide because I dont always get that fertile mucus stuff and I was able to establish that my surge was on day 11 but it also changes another thing I could not for the life of me understand the 2 lines one so I bought the clearblue easy fertility monitor and the hand held digital ones that you place in the lil holder and here where times one would show me peaking and the other didnt so maybe your doctor is right after all she did exam you and see cervix position and all that. My doctor made me wait months between my miscarriage just give it a go and hope for the best I'll say a prayer for you!

If she didn't confirm ovulation with an ultrasound, it could be that you geared up and tried to ovulate, but didn't. Don't give up, you could still ovulate later on. Another possibility is this..... your OPK picks up the surge BEFORE you ovulate. It is possible that you tested too late and already missed your surge.
