Hey ladies! I got a perm in November and I HATE it! I've waited to go get it "fixed" because I don't want to fry my hair. But I think I'm going tonight to get a relaxing treatment. Has anyone ever had one of these before? Does it mess up your hair badly? Any tips?

Nope no perm, a chemical relaxer.

I'm African American and I get chemical relaxers about twice a year. My only advice is to not allow the product to sit in your hair for too long bc it can burn your scalp or cause excessive damage to your hair. It doesn't smell the best, but I've never had issues with hair breakage or anything like that.

I actually couldn't get it done My hair is soooooo damaged from the perm that they are afraid to do anything with it. I had to get 3 inches chopped off because it was completely dead. So now I'm going to work on making it healthy and just hope that it grows itself out.

I use a great product that can help you to maintain your hair healthy, it's Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil, which is amazing, helps strengthen the hair, smoothes the hair, reduces Frizz and helps prevent further damage, leaves hair healthy, shiny and resilient and provides heat protection. I luv it !
If you are interested you can check it out at safrons . com
Good luck.
