So last night after DTD I had some spotting, I have never had this before ever. I guess I should say I'm on CD 16 but I have not been tracking ovulation at all. Well this morning woke up and nothing. Now I'm at work and I felt this gush. Went to the the bathroom and TMI have some blood. So I put a pad on. Went and checked and there is some on the pad. Not a lot and not dark in color. Any clues on what the heck is going on? I put a call into my RE to see if they want to see me or if I should she my OB. But yep I'm confused. Any thoughts?

Sorry, besides cervical irritation, not sure what it could be. Hope you get some answers soon, KUP.

hmmm that is odd and i don't have any great ideas, other than my RE has told me that bleeding at unusual times can happen while on fertility meds. I'm not sure if you're taking anything (?) but even taking Prometrium and what not might count. Definitely call your dr just to make sure....probably it's just some irritation or weird break through bleeding.

The weird thing is I'm not taking anything yet, not even the progesterone. I'm having some cramping the past 3 days in my lower back and in my abdomen just slightly lower than my belly button. So I'm not sure what to think. I can't see that it's an irritated cervix producing that much spotting but then again I've never had spotting other than with my first pregnancy.

Thanks ladies! I'm wondering what is going on hormone wise. My headache might be mostly due to that. I just feel so off the past few days. That and I'm so exhausted I can barely stay away to do anything. I just want to sleep. Lol I know that sounds horrible. Maybe I'm coming down with something.

Didn't you say you were taking BC pills for awhile before you do the IVF? I'm thinking that can really throw your body off, but I've never taken them so I'm not an expert.

We are going to do the birth control pills but we are still in the testing phase right now.

My RE said she think that either I had a cyst that burst or another underlying issue. So now she is going to do more testing before we can start the IVF Right now she wants me to track the spotting to see how long it lasts for.

I hope your RE can find the issue and that the spotting resides and goes away.

Katie - I hope they figure out what's going on with you and that this "extra testing" does not prolong you TTC.

Delurking for a moment. Do you have a pregnancy test? The only time I had mid-cycle spotting was with my ectopic. I had tested when AF was due, but it was negative. I started spotting around O time and tested and it was positive.

I do have a bunch of IC's at the house. Maybe I'll take one tomorrow morning. I just don't see how that could be possible because I did not O last cycle and had to go on provera to bring on AF.

I hope your RE can figure out what's going on, and that it doesn't set you back in starting with IVF.
