The spotting and cramping has stopped today. I had light brown on TP yesterday evening and nothing since. My dr is going to call me back this afternoon and tell me when I can go in for an ultra sound. They are thinking some time tomorrow. The nurse was like " do you think you have time to have one tomorrow.....my response "oh of course" in a very calm and collective tone. (in my mind I was screaming YOU BETTER BELIEVE THAT I WILL MAKE TIME )

Thank you ladies for being on this journey with me. It feels good to be able to talk to you all since only DH and I know the news right now.

*ultrasound results*
the ultrasound went well. Only one gestational sack, yolk sack and they think they saw a fetal pole. I am measuring 5 weeks 1 day.

WOW those numbers are great. Can't wait to hear the update from your u/s. Maybe they will be able to squeeze you in today or early tomorrow am.

Ultrasound scheduled for 3 o'clock this afternoon. Man I am super anxious now. It is at the hospital so only a tech will be doing it and they usually do not utter a word to me the entire time and then I have to wait for my dr to see the results and call me. I am you tubing and googling tons of ultrasound pics at 5 weeks to see if I can spot anything myself this afternoon.

good luck hun i'll be thinking of you this afternoon & sending some positive twin identification energy in your direction DO NOT be worried if they can't see anything...despite such high hcg levels your still incredibly early too see anything on u/s, but i'm hoping hard for you that they do anyway!

I completely agree with you on the whole "too early to see much" I was very reluctant to go in before 6 weeks for that same reason. But now apart of me is so anxious to have the ultrasound. I have been googling 5 week ultrasound pics all morning. I am going to be an ultrasound tech before I know it

trust me if my RE was offering to do an u/s today i'd be over there in a flash....with my 2nd loss i had an u/s around 5w5d i think (i was having serious bleeding issues) and they saw everything - sac and fetal pole even though my levels at the time i think were around 1800 and it was measuring behind at about 5w i think.

I'm hoping you might even be further along than you think in which case they will be able to see a lot more potentially! I expect an update ASAP when you get out of there!!!

yay for a great u/s!!!! i'm not counting you out on the twins front quite yet - one of the ladies from TTCMA (and Oct DDC, which i was briefly a member of) had 2 u/s i think before they actually saw the 2nd sac, so it's not uncommon for one to be "hiding" esp. with early u/s. But either way, your #s are fabulous and the u/s showed a perfectly measuring LO so it's all great news for you today!
