can you expect to be back to normal?? I'm scared to death of TTC again but know i'll be anxious later. I just want to make sure that i dont try until i've given my body the right amount of time it needs..... I just dont ever want to go through that again.

When should i expect a period ....etc??

Depends on your definition of "normal"!
As far as when you can start TTC again, different doctors will tell you different things. I would check with your doctor, they would be the best ones to know. Some say one month, some say two...
I had a D&C and had a period exactly a month after. We are almost at 6 months and have not TTC yet for various reasons. But we're gearing up for it.

I had to have the D&C, & I was 10 weeks along. I had a period at 5 weeks after the D&C. AF was 5 days long & I ovulated like normal. I was on a 25 day cycle after my m/c & everything was perfect. I didn't have irregular periods, and things, like some women do, because everyone is different. The doc wants you to wait at least 2-3 months before you TTCAL, but not everyone waits that long.. I am also anxious to get pregnant again after going through such a traumatic experience, but these ladies really have helped me through the hard times. I am sorry for your loss though, it's never an easy thing to go through.

I was told as soon as you stop bleeding you can TTC again.

They said the body is an amazing thing.

I had a D&C 3 weeks ago due to a missed miscarriage at 10weeks 4days and now have my first af since.

I normally have 21-26 day cycles so this is probably normal. I am charting for the next 3 months religiously to see what my cycles are doing.

I have been told of my own GP and health care provider who is not at the hospital that TTC after a loss as long as you have no medical issues can be done when your MIND AND HEART are ready.

Good luck and I am sorry for your loss. x

I got my first AF a month after my M/C (I had a natural m/c, not a D&C though) It took 6 wks for my beta to get to O - I had weird af (see chart) - very long, spotting, then started again. And I'm not even sure I ovulated this cycle either. So, I'm still not back to normal I don't think.

I get mad sometimes, knowing we both should be around 17/18wks, and it's been super tough to be stuck in limbo, waiting. I hope your body returns to normal quickly and that, when you decide to ttc again, you get your rainbow baby. ((HUGS)) sweetie.

I was always told that if your body isn't ready to get pregnant again it won't. Not sure how much I believe that. But I am sure they would want you to want 1-2 cycles to build back up lining and vitamins.

To answer your question.....Normal is all relative and after a loss you may have a new "normal. Like so many have already mentioned...everyone's body is different and every loss is different. I can only share with you my past experiences but with my first loss at 12 weeks I believe it took me 2 months to get AF. I had a natural mc and bled for 4 weeks I think that is the reason why it took so long for AF to come back. Then my cycles were back to every 28 days. My other two losses were very early on and one was ectopic. After the Ectopic and the medication they gave me my cycles became irregular. Anywhere from 31-35 days long. My body finally had a new "normal" at 33 days.

Hoping that your body recovers quickly.

Ditto all of the above. Unfortuantly after a loss there is no way of knowing what your "normal" will be or how soon it will happen. My doctor told me I could start trying right away because if my body wasn't ready I would not get pregnant. I hope your body sorts it self out quickly!

Here's hoping all of our bodies get back on track soon. I don't think I will TTC til atleast October so I can figure out my new normal. I am really worried since TTC at 40 is challenge in itself.

Hope you are able to have a quick recovery. I'm so sorry for the loss of your Daughter.

((Hugs))
