DH and I have decided that the time has come to start TTC again. I wanted to drop by and say hi before I go post-crazy during the 2ww. There are a lot of new faces (which is both good and bad..... good to see so many have moved on, but I hate that so many others are here now), so I thought I would just re-introduce myself.

I'm Stephanie, wife to Matt and Mom to Sierra (almost 15) and Will (11). Matt and I have been trying for our first living child together since March of 2006. In that time, we have had 10 chemicals/early losses. We've been to an RE and they can't find anything wrong with either one of us. We've done testing, exploratory surgeries, the whole shebang. Everything comes back normal. I've been told to stop testing early and keep trying, and that eventually it will happen.

I went on BC about 6 months ago because I just couldn't do it anymore. I desperately needed a break. I'm feeling a bit better now and we are going to try to ease back into this. I'm not going to be charting or temping to start with (though I have a huge stash of OPK's and HPT's, so I will be using those). I'm going to try not to test until after AF is late, but that's not likely, especially with 50 or 60 HPT's in the house!

Anyway.... I just wanted to say hi. I'm currently on CD 6. Before going on BC I had a 30 day cycle and I usually O'd around CD 18. Time will tell if that is going to hold true or not.

I'm so sorry for your losses but I think it's good you took some time off with your family to heal. We haven't met, but I'm glad to hear your feeling better.

I'm Amy, DH and I just started ttc this past cycle with no luck. During that time I was a POAS freak and ended up making ttc way more stressful for myself than it needed to be. I put all my tests away for this month and will be trying the more relaxed approach but I would love to obsess over someone else's pee sticks so feel free to share pics lol

I can totally relate to having a hard time not testing. I'm sorry for your losses, and I hope you get your rainbow baby soon!

Hello. I'm sorry to hear of your losses. It's good you are getting to where you feel like TTC again. I hope you get your + soon.

I'm Gale. My screen name is pretty accurate. I joined this board in January, after my loss in December. We aren't actually TTC right now. We are waiting to get all of our results back, and see a preconception specialist, before we try.

Looking forward to getting to know you.

Best of Luck to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have faith, it will happen in time. My husband and I lost 3 before our son was born this January. It took us a long time after each loss, but we just let things happen in God's time and we ended up with our beautiful blessing this year. I wish you every blessing God can give you in conceiving your perfect gift.

I remember every time I was late I would grab the HPT and see if I had a BFP, I know how you feel. Let's hope this month is your month!!!!

Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone. I'm sorry that I haven't been posting. As usual, the minute we decided to TTC, all hell broke loose around here. I've been dealing with my ex husband and the drama he throws into our lives every single time we get settled into a routine. I've also been pretty sick with the flu/virus/whatever.

I've been in panic mode since deciding to try again. I'm terrified of another loss. It doesn't help that everyone around me (IRL) is either just having a baby or just getting pregnant. I've been 'left behind' so many times where I get pregnant at the same time as a close friend or family member and then miscarry that I am completely freaked out about it happening again. To be honest, there hasn't been much chance of getting pregnant this cycle. I'm not sure if I have ovulated or not because I haven't been using OPKs.

I did find out that I got a BIG scholarship to the local university ($10,000 a year from this one scholarship and still waiting to hear more on several others) and so I am wondering if now isn't such a great time to TTC again after all. When I was going to be doing classes online I was okay with it, but I'm not sure I can do it and take classes face to face. Honestly, if I don't end up pregnant this cycle I may very likely end up going back on birth control for another year or 18 months so that I can ensure I finish school before getting pregnant.

Wow! That's awesome about the scholarship! Hope everything works out for you, regardless of what you decide ttc wise!

Thanks. I am pretty stoked about it. This is going to make it possible for me to go to the private university near my house. It will mean a commute of only 14 miles (round trip) each day instead of driving 165+ days a day. There is no way this was going to be possible without this scholarship. The plan had been to do classes at the other university and live in a dorm during the week most of the time, switching to online classes if I ended up getting pregnant. Now I get to stay home with my family and not have that horrid commute!
