How long do you wait for sex after a D&C?

I didn't get papers, and I just don't remember him telling me anything about it. Anyone know?

From what I have heard it is either after the bleeding has stopped or 2 weeks whichever is longer. Since they dilated you, it is a higher risk of infection for a while.

My papers said 2 weeks, but I think I'm going to wait for my Dr's appointment which would be 3 1/2 weeks after my D&C was done. I'm just so nervous...not sure why?!

My doctor said 2 weeks or until the bleeding stopped. I never had bleeding so we waited 3 weeks, just to be safe and emotionally, we weren't ready.

Good Luck and take your time, you've been through alot.

Thanks ladies. I wish I would have asked, but I do have an apt this weeks. Seems like two weeks is the norm then.
I just miss the intimacy. Tom was afraid to touch me when I was pregnant bcs we'd been working for it for so long. So now I've basically been sexless since January and I miss it!! Two weeks will go by fast enough
