So... yesterday I thought AF was here. For about 3 days I've had light brown spotting, backache, etc. Yesterday I had a larger "spot" which I assumed was AF getting up for real- but then overnight nothing, and today just very very faint brown.

Somebody else has a post up about testing all the time even when you know there's no chance. I have 3 tests in the house (1 FRER and 2 Clearblue) so I thought- why not? Start next month with fresh tests. I used a Clearblue, knowing they are usually less valued. Then I didn't believe it, so I used the FRER.

WHAT THE HECK. What's with the spotting? I went out of town with my girlfriends this past weekend- AND DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I HAD TO DRINK? (Sigh. I know that the embryo doesn't even share bloodstream with the parent until well after 4 weeks, so I'm not going to agonize about the booze).

I'm stunned.

Thank you all! Sunrise, yes, I had my betaHCG and progesterone drawn today. I still have the faint brown spotting, which is somewhat concerning. It may be implantation bleeding, it may be a sign of ectopic- but now I'm speculating that it might be from a yeast infection. I've had to take antibiotics three times in the last 2.5 months. Usually I take anti-fungals prophylactically whenever I take antibiotics, but I haven't in the past months. 10+years ago I had a yeast infection that I neglected so long it started to cause spotting, from irritating me so much. I'm wondering (hoping?) that's it.

I'd rather not do the betas. Definitely not going to do any early ultrasounds, unless my OB suspects an ectopic. I have mc'd twice, and the previous time I was pg all the extra tests just caused more worry, and didn't make any difference.

I'm hoping it's just a yeast infection and nothing to worry about. I don't blame you at ALL for not wanting to go do all the early draws and testing... I'm still scared to death to go back to a Dr! I went to the dentist about 2 months ago and had my blood pressure taken before they took any x-rays on my teeth and the lady said my blood pressure was really high. I've never had BP issues before so I know it was from the anxiety of being in a "dr office". I wish there was a stress switch so we could just turn it off!!

How are you feeling today? Any early symptoms?

I'm okay- nips are crazy sore. Backache (another concern for ectopic). I'm somewhere between 4 weeks and 4w5d. Not sure of my lmp. I had some spotting for about 4-5 days before the full AF, so I'm not sure what to count as the CD1. Anyway. I've barely begun to process this. I think I won't actually believe it is happening until someone starts shouting at me as s/he comes out of my vagina.
