I saw a tiny bit of spotting this morning after I walked my dog. (We take long brisk walks). As soon as I saw it, my heart sunk. That was about 3 hours ago, and there's been nothing more since. But still, I feel like this might be the beginning of the end.

My ultrasound is scheduled for Thursday. I don't know if I want to call my ob on Monday to get another HCG check, or just wait until Thursday. I don't know if I can take yet more testing and waiting to hear back and all that. After all, there's nothing they could do to stop it, if this bean isn't going to stick.

I know some women have a little bit of spotting in early pregnancy. (it's light brownish-pink). Also, I take low-dose aspirin, which maybe is making my blood a little thinner. But despite these excuses, with my history, and then the recent slow hcg rise, I'm trying to prepare myself for the worst. Yet again.

It's so hard not to freak out about things like that!
You might see if your DR. can do the ultrasound earlier in the week because of the spotting? I know sometimes they will try to fit you in at an earlier day because of that.
I hope it's just spotting and nothing more!

I will definitely be thinking about you and praying all is well. I know how heartbreaking it is to have repeat losses and then stress when you see spotting. I am so sorry for the fear and stress in these early days for you.

Thanks everyone. There's no spotting today (Sun) so I feel... not necessarily encouraged, but at least not more discouraged. If that makes sense.

I think I'm going to keep my u/s on Thursday. I don't even think I'm going to call in about the spotting and have my betas checked again. Unless it really picks up or I start bleeding, and I have to cancel the u/s. I just can't take the stress of rushing into the drs office and waiting anxiously to hear results. Having the u/s done a few days early won't ultimately make a difference in what's going to happen. I'll find out soon enough. Besides, by Thurs I will (touch wood) be at least 6w, maybe even 6w+a few days, and that's a chance at seeing an early heartbeat. (my LMP was somewhere bt 3/9 and 3/13- I had few on/off days of spotting before the flow really picked up, so I'm not sure which was officially CD1).

Oh I hate hearing that. I understand not wanting to call about it as well, i think it makes things a lot more stressful having to rush to the Dr. office for tests and waiting for the results. Hopefully it is nothing. I know this won't make you feel any better but with my daughter (who is 2 now) I spotted in my 1st trimester. I'm not talking brownish old blood spotting. It was bright pink, red spotting! It happened twice. The first time it was about mid way through my 1st trimester, went to the bathroom, wiped and there was blood, it wasn't a tiny spot, it took a couple times of wiping to finally have a clean tissue when i wiped and that was it, nothing on my panty liner after that. The 2nd time was literally right at the very end of my 1st trimester, same thing happened. Both times I ended up at the ER just because I was freaking out so much. Baby was fine. I hope things get less stressful for you and your pregnancy is all good!
