Hello, I am new to the board although I looked at the boards and discussions a lot for support during my last miscarriage. So I had a missed miscarriage in April. Absolutely no signs...went for my first ultrasound and no heartbeat. Did not pass naturally and needed a d and c. Of coarse I was destroyed..esp since it was my first pregnancy ...and only started to feel better when me and my husband started trying again in July. Got 2 positive home pregnancy tests last Friday ( lmp July 28)... Being the anxious ball of nerves I am...called the Dr Monday and got blood work that day...2 days after missed period. Today I started bleeding and having cramps ( kinda seems like beginning of period). Was due to see my Dr next week but called and got appointment for tomorrow. Was told my hcg on Monday was 45. Does it sound bad for me ? Another miscarriage ???

Thanks for the response ..Went to dr this morning .. Looks like a chemical pregnancy and I'm getting my period now . I'm disappointed but trying to stay positive ... At least it was super early ..literally like a week... And I can try again this month. Been doing opts...my dr wants me to try monitoring bbts a couple months . Maybe a luteal defect? Not for sure ..gotta chart a few months to c .

Opks I mean ****!* new to the lingo lol

I am so sorry for you losses. Charting is not for everyone, but it's definitely worth trying. You can get some go info (knowing when you O, how long LP is) and it's not invasive or expensive. I hope your sticky BFP is just around the corner

Been off the board for a couple weeks... just been really down - on and off since I was told about the chemical pregnancy...

Today was a really bad day for me .... BUT...... thank you guys so much. All the responses to my post has made me feel a lot better. THANKS GUYS!!! As much as it sucks being in this position, its nice to have a place to go to talk to people who understand. My poor husband.. he tries, but it just makes me more upset when he just doesn't get it... and he keeps saying " at least it was not another miscarriage". I try to explain it was!!! Just very early! I didn't feel that attached to this pregnancy, like I did the last, however it makes me super stressed and worried now that something is really wrong.

I am going next week to another Dr. I feel like it could not hurt to get a second opinion. Does anyone know, do they treat chemical pregnancies like miscarriages, as in will they say I have had two miscarriages now, so we can look into why I am having them? My chart isn't giving me many answers, I know its only been a month, however I worry because I do not get the best of sleep all the time, wonder if my temps are being affected and are not accurate.

I agree with getting a second opinion. Most doctors will not do the Recurrent Pregnancy Loss testing until after 3 m/c's. My doctor counted my chemicals so I'm assuming they would because it's a loss. If your not sleeping the best it can affect your temps. Men grieve and handle things differently. I grieved harder for all my losses. DH grieved the hardest for our first (we were farther along). With our others it was almost as if he was numb. I hope you get some answers at the doctors appointment hun.
