A sad day in our house, today would have been my due date. It's been 6 mos, but feels like only yesterday. I haven't looked at the U/S pictures, I don't yet have the strength.

My son told me on my 40th birthday recently that now that I'm old no more babies will come out of my tummy. It makes the day even sadder.

In late spring I planted a rose bush for my LO and a month later, a deer ate it right down to nothing. I was so upset, I cried. Well just two days ago I saw it not only had grown back beautifully, but it had a single, beautiful rose on it.

Hope.

So today I try to put the grief, tears and pain aside and look ahead with hope and faith.

EDD are always hard. For me I always find it makes me feel better that I celebrate my baby that day. I always let balloons go and on them I write to my angels. I also light a candle that evening for each of my angels. No matter what I hope you can find peace today.

Ps. The Rose is a sign Your angel is with you dear! Don't give up H.O.P.E.

Leia I'm so sorry. I know how hard EDD's are. The rose is definitely a sign and soon hopefully you'll be holding your rainbow baby.

OY. for you Leia!

Does your son know you're pregnant again? If he does, that was a horrible thing to say to you. Yes, kids sometimes (OK always) have no filter and unintentionally say hurtful things, but still...

I agree w/ the others on the rose. What a beautiful sign!

Thanks ladies. Yesterday was not bad at all. DH said to me "So have you been moping all day? I hope you're not depressed." I could have slapped him, but I just walked away. I chose to look ahead, I can't change what happened. I can only try to stay positive in the future.

Jennifer, we haven't told anyone yet, and especially my son, so no he doesn't know. I haven't announced on the boards either so , oops! Only the Old Ladies with Canes know. And I post on the PMAL board too. No worries.

I'm sorry that your DH said that. My DH says things like that to me sometimes, and I know it can be very frustrating.
