Hey Ladies,

It's been a while since I've been on here but I had a shocking revelation today and had to ask for yall's opinions. My husband and I concieved in Dec 2012 and lost that child in Feburary 2013. In late December, we discovered that my husband had low testosterone and he started recieving shots for this. We waited two months after the loss and then began actively trying to concieve again. Today it just occured to me that the shots could be part of the problem. When I googled this sure enough these shots cause low sperm count, and can make some men sterile. I am so upset that we were not made aware of this side effect, yet so relieved that we have some kind of answer, if that makes sense? I called his primary care physician who seemed to be shocked that this was a side effect (we live in very rural TN). Anyway, we will not be returning to this doctor and are curious if any of you all had similar experiences or know of anyways to improve sperm count?? Thank you all so much for your support!!

I don't have any experience with it, but I do want to say that I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that some of the other ladies have some knowledge and insight about this for you.

omg - that is so not acceptable! I'm so sorry you are going through that, and sorry for your loss. Unreal! I don't know much about it for sure, but a few of us on here started taking ROyal Jelly. I also have my husband taking royal jelly daily because I've read that it may have benefits for male infertility. It may be worth checking out!

I'm sorry for your loss too. My husband has low testosterone too, and his doctor wanted to put him on a testosterone cream. I researched it and was afraid it would interfere with us TTC. I talked to my RE and he said NO because it can cause the body to stop producing sperm too. Has your husband had a sperm analysis? My husband's analysis was great...even with the low testosterone.

No, He has not had an analysis yet. We were kind of trying to wait and just see what happens but I'm afraid this has been inhibiting our efforts. What is royal jelly? And where does one get it?

Hello and welcome!! It sounds like your doctor doesn't know enough so I would definitely seek another opinion! Also the royal jelly is what they feed to the queen bee to help her produce lots of eggs I bought mine off amazon!! I think your next step would be to get the semen analysis and go from there.
