Is anyone still using royal jelly? I stopped when I got pregnant and am.thinking about starting it up again. Even though we are going to wait until we have some answers before ttc again, it can't hurt to get my body prepped for when we are ready
However, using condoms is not my idea of a "good time". Sorry if tmi but just speaking my mind!

No problem... ask all the questions you'd like!

A few months ago, we discovered royal jelly. You should Google it for more information. It is supposedly a fertility aid. As well as just good for your health in general and possible could help with regular cycles. But, I looked it up online and got information from there.

Right now, I just have the regular royal jelly that I got on amazon. Once this is gone, I am thinking of trying the queens delight. In addition, I am still going to be taking my prenatal vitamins even though we aren't ttc right now.

I'm still taking it!

How long do you think you'll wait to ttc for?

@ashley - I just re-read my response.. I hope you didn't think it was too vague! The main reason I recommended looking it up is because there are SO MANY different explanations and claims as to what Royal Jelly does, or does not, do. So, everyone should make their own decision if it truly is an effective fertility aid Worse case, it could just be a good metabolism booster that helps your immune system. Best case, it supposedly helps with Fertility and ames your hair and nails healthier!

@DanielleW - I am very much at peace with the decision that we have made to wait a little while before we really TTC again. I AT LEAST want to wait until we try and get some answers as to WHY I am miscarrying, if we can. DH and I talked about it and he pretty much left it up to me, which I HATE, but also appreciate at the same time. (I thin the decreasing hormones affects me more than the increase in hormones! haha). So, I think 2 or 3 cycles is a good break to let my body and our minds heal from two miscarriages, back to back. I have been pregnant 3 times this year! So, while I cannot wait to be pregnant again ( ) I want to give my body every chance at having a successful pregnancy finally! Also, I am giving myself some time to hopefully change jobs before we TTC again officially. My current job gives me stress and anxiety just thinking about going in (which is in a few hours ). Having the majority of last week off to recover was definitely necessary….

Sorry for the long winded ramble…. I just wanted to explain it fully…. Especially after everything my SIL just went through, DH and I just need to get right emotionally and be there for our niece and the family when she is born in January! (my rant about her story is in another post on the TTAL board)

I stopped taking it for now because I am going to be having some testing done and I want it to be 100% accurate

I'm taking it. I take the cheapo Walmart capsule version. I feel like AF is coming this month, without assistance. Sooooo, that would be freakin awesome if she does! I'll chalk it up to RJ if she comes this month.

There's a cheapo at walmart?! I had no idea. Although, the stuff I get on amazon is very well priced and I am a prime member so no shipping.

I just ordered some on Amazon but haven't started taking it yet.

AshleyJo - A friend of mine on the TTCYF board just explained this for me so I have copied her answer here. As Jackie mentioned there is a lot of info out there so I also recommend googling it. But I loved her explanation so I wanted to share it.

When worker bees decide to make a new queen, because the old one is either weakening or dead, they choose several small larvae and feed them with copious amounts of royal jelly in specially constructed queen cells. This type of feeding triggers the development of queen morphology, including the fully developed ovaries needed to lay eggs

So the logic behind it is.. it nourishes ovaries via hormone regulation. Ovaries make eggs.

Pretty much it's a lot of amino acids that aid in the production of eggs via nourishing the ovaries, which it does by balancing hormones.

I just bought a different kind to try - it's in blackberry honey... yum! I hope it tastes better to me than the regular. (the ones w/ the propolis and stuff in it tastes just awful to me, but the regular royal jelly in honey isn't AS bad, but I still preferred the pills)... Here's to hoping it tastes as good as it sounds !

Can't find the dang receipt! Ugh. Here is what it looks like, and the bar code to see if your Walmart carries it.
