I went to see my OB today for a surgical follow up. All seems to be going well and I talked with her about where we go from here….
First off, we still do not have the results from the genetic testing on the embryo. So, we are anxiously awaiting those results.
Second - DH and I are to hold off from TTC for a couple of months, but that is so that I can get blood testing done to see why I can't sustain a pregnancy right now. I have to wait for AF to arrive, then on CD21 of my next cycle I go in for blood draws to test, well, EVERYTHING! lol

Glucose
Insulin
Progesterone
Prolactin
ANA w.titer if Pos (Antinuclear Antibody Test)
RA w.titer if Pos (Rheumatoid Arthritis is all I could come up with..?)
LAC (Lupus Anticoagulant)
MTHFR
TSH
homocysteine
Anticardiolipin Ab
Antiphospholipid Ab
Factor IV

I must say, I am very happy that my OB is being so aggressive in figuring out what is going on and why I have had 3 miscarriages already. The not so great part, we can't TTC until like, February depending on when AF arrives But, it will all be worth it if I get to hold a baby in my arms on the next round of TTC!

Hope it wasn't too long, but I know I have read that some of you ladies have had experience with some of these tests and have been diagnosed already. Also, please forgive me if I described the test code incorrectly.. I relied on ole' faithful Google to get descriptions based on my Blood Draw Orders.

Here is to a crazy lon 2 month wait…..

That's good and super lame news!!!

What are you hoping for with the embryonic testing?

I'm doing the same round of testing this time on CD 21. Hugs I'm so sorry that you have to wait sooo long to ttc

It'll be hard to wait, but if you get answers that lead to a healthy pregnancy, it will be worth it.

Danielle - I'm not sure honestly. My OB recommended it so i guess i am hoping that the testing will be for nothing and that all of "problems" will be with me…. if that makes any sense. It seems like it will just to be to make sure there are no genetic abnormalities. hope your testing results in some answers!

And yes waiting is kind of sucky, but it will give me solid 2 to 3 months to regroup, get started working out and being healthier…. I'm bad at that! As long as I get some answers that aren't life shattering… then It will all be worth it!

Wow, that'll be an eventful blood draw! It's good that they're taking things seriously though.

I have lupus and have been tested for rheumatoid arthritis, that's usually called RF for rheumatoid factor though. Weird. That's probably it though.

I am so glad your OB is working with you to figure things out The embryonic testing always takes so long! I know forced breaks are so hard but it really is a great time to regroup. I am so hopeful that you will have some answers and a sticky BFP soon!

Be sure you get the protein C and Protein S tests, too. I tested pos for both of those. I would def get a referal to a perinatologist.
