Okay ladies... I have been diagnosed with Lyme Disease and my energy level is like zero! What do you do to increase your energy? Any certain supplements/vitamins/foods to help increase it?

I don't know about supplements, but working out really helps give me more energy.

I agree with Reba. Sometimes even just taking a brisk walk a few times a day can give me more energy. I also like a good green smoothie (fruit and spinach) to give me an extra kick in the afternoons.

Is the Lyme a new diagnosis? I am sorry if it is! Are they treating you for it at all? I know they gave me prednisone and doxycycline when they thought I had it. As for energy I can't help you there. I am praying that you start feeling better though. It sucks to be tired all the time.

Ugh I can hardly move to work, cook/clean and take care of the dogs lol. I literally can fall asleep now while standing.

I love fruit! DH's friend owns a health food store so I might have to go look into the fruit & spinach smoothies.

Unfortunately it is. DH has it and now they diagnosed me with it. It is a common occurrence where we live. I'm currently on the doxycycline but it doesn't seem to be helping. They aren't sure how quickly they caught it and are afraid since I'm not reacting to the pills that it might be in an advanced stage.

oh man - that stinks!!!! I hope you haven't had it TOO long... that does make things more complicated. I'm sorry You can try tai chi or qi gong (both of which I've never done but am considering trying!)... my chiropractor says that chi kung (qi gong) helps increase energy. I hope you feel better soon!

I'm sorry. I know it is pretty hard to workout when you are exhausted. Are you able to take a lot of naps?

No The only day I get a chance for a nap is usually Sunday.
