Don't have a picture since I don't have photo bucket but I had a positive OPK test strip this morning but I'm only day 11 of my cycle (first one after my first period after my full term stillbirth 1.3.14) isn't it too soon?

Yay for a positive OPK! I'm not sure what you are asking that it is too soon for? I usually have a positive OPK on day 12 or 13, so 11 is not too early. If you are asking if it is too soon to try again, that is a very personal decision. (((HUGS))) I know the prospect of trying again can be a lot to process.

Since the positive opk means you'll ovulate within the next 12 to 36 hours I don't think it's too early. I ovulated on cycle day 13 this cycle based on temping so I could of gotten a positive opk on cycle day 11 too. Good luck!

Thanks guys. I was told to start the opks on CD 11 and when I took it today it was darker than the test. Blew my mind. We Dtd though so we shall see. I've never TTC. Always just happened. Lol. So when I ovulate and all that jazz is completely unknown to me.

Thanks everyone. I am sorry we are all here. I hope we all get our rainbows. 💕

Good luck It is not too soon to O, you will typically O 12-24/36 hours after the positive on the strip, it detects LH which indicates O is going to happen, not that it is happening. TTC is all kinds of confusing, isn't it? LOL! I wish we had a light that came on or a buzzer that told us that we were ovulating...haha!

Haha. A blinking neon sign would be nice "INSERT SPERM NOW".

I DTD this morning when I first got the positive OPK. Do I wait to DTD again or should we do it again tonight/tomorrow.

Yes, our bodies do some strange things! I am almost addicted to all this stuff now...POAS, fertility apps, temps, charting, checking my CM! Oh my!

We usually use every other day leading up to a positive OPK and then daily for 2-3 days. This month will be only and every other day month due to DH's work schedule. Use what you can! LOL...TTC is such a crazy world. Even crazier is TTCAL!

Thanks!! I didn't DTD at all for this cycle except today after I took the OPK. We are all getting over the stomach flu so it was our first chance. I assumed I had more time from cd11.

So I guess it's the one time and hope for the best I guess.

I would definitely use tomorrow (maybe even tonight) and possibly Friday. If you got your OPK today there is a chance that you will not O for up to 36 hours after the positive. Don't count yourself out of the game yet! Good Luck!

Thanks!! Hubby is on overnights so it's not till tomorrow after kids are on the bus that we can go again, but it will happen tomorrow. I tested again tonight and the line is still darker so I hope that I caught it at the beginning of this wave.

I agree, the surge comes before ovulation, and even then the egg lives for a little while. All it takes is one time, but it doesn't hurt to get as much sperm in there as possible, if you can.
