hey ladies, I need advice so bad. I am scheduled for a laproscopy and hysterscopy, I think that is how you spell them on Friday. Anyway, I just got into contact with my obgyn and he said he doesn't like surgery and suggests that I cancel it. I am treating with a top fertility specialist in Brooklyn and I heard a LOT of positive outcomes from this doctor. I quickly called another fertility specialist and he said if he thought I needed surgery he would of gave it to me but he doesn't think I need the surgery, but I am thinking he didn't do all the extensive testing on me like the doctor from Brooklyn. I am so confused I don't know what to do. What would you do? I spoke to my mom and she said it is up to me, and that every doctor has their own method of work. Every doctor does things their own way. I am so torn apart, and to top it all off, I just checked my ovulation calender and I was due yesterday for a/f. If I don't get it by thursday I definitely have to cancel the surgery. Sorry to vent. I just didnt know where else to turn. thanks for listening.

I have had Laproscopy surgery done on one of my ovaries. It was needed to remove cyst from my ovary.
Why do you need the surgery?

What ever you decide I hope it goes smoothly for you.

~GOD BLESS YOU~

Sorry for being stupid, but I guess I don't know what those surgeries are. I agree with LouLou...do whatever you need to do, but make sure you have all the info you need to feel comfortable with your decision.

I too don't really know what either of those surgeries are for but the advice I feel is best is that if you trust your doctor then listen to him. That is what I've learned - I trust my dr and feel he is treating me correctly and I have to listen to him then. Do what you feel is right for you though and make sure you get all your questions answered so you feel confident in your decision. Good luck!
