I know that my dr. told me to wait one cycle, but if I do O I would like to try this time around.......I am not sure why they tell you to wait, if it for dating reasons or for your lining to build back up, but I feel like if my body is ready, it is ready.....what do you guys think? This is driving me crazy.......I am on the fence about it, I don't want to rush my body or anything, and I sure don't want to go threw another m/c.......any advice???

Hi
I was like you and wanted to jump right back into ttc after my d/c. We actually did ttc when my levels dropped to 5, but when AF did show up I was glad that I hadnt gotten preg. My period was soo light there would of been no way an embryo could of attached.
Personally I should of waited at least one cycle but its every womans own choice and whatever you feel comfortable with.
The reason my dr. told me to wait was 1.give my cervix time to heal 2. get my body back on track 3. it is easier to date the preg after 1 cycle.
There are lots of women that get preg before AF arrives again and go on to have healthy pregnancies and babies.

My dr told me its for the lining to build up, but he told me since I had an early miscarriage I didnt have to wait if I didnt want to. We didnt wait, but now that I think about it I am so glad I didnt get pg. If heaven forbid anything happened to that baby I would be so mad at myself and blame myself for not waiting.

Thanks for all of the advice ladies, I think we will just go with the flow if it happens then we will be blessed, I feel like if your body isn't ready it won't happen right???

I have researched and researched and can't find any reason other then for dating purposes......I feel I should be ok as far as the lining b/c I was between 5-6 weeks along.......I think I would feel much better if I heard that there were women who did conceive and have a baby in their arms now......my g/f had a d&c and got pg b4 af showed, but I think it's diff when yoo have a d&c rather then natural m/c, it's like you have a clean slate after a d&c......keeping my fingers crossed for everyone!!!

BABY DUST to all!!!

DH and I started trying again about 2 weeks after my m/c. It was an un-complicated m/c and I had passed everything by 7 days, and hcg level had went back down by then as well.

I've been told that doctor's normally tell you to wait a couple cycles because it is for dating purposes. I have heard so many stories of women who had gotten pregnant right after thier m/c and was able to carry it full-term. The percentage rate of women who wait a couple cycles does not mean they are not likely to have another m/c. The percentage rate of another m/c does not change whether you try right away or after a few cycles.

The ONLY reason why some women decide to wait or is told they have to wait a few cycles is because they had a a complicated m/c. For women who had miscarried much later in their pregnancy. For women who miscarried early in their pregnancy (10weeks and less), there is no real reason why they can not try right away.

Doctors tell you to wait because it makes dating the pregnancy easier and it is protocol for them to say that to all their patients. I have done a lot of research on this topic...trust me...haha....

So if you are feeling emotionally ready and want to start trying again, GO FOR IT!!

I miscarried jan 8th , it's now 9 weeks since I miscarried. I just finished my first AF. I did O'd about 2 weeks ago and DH and I were trying actively. But no luck this time around I'm now praying for a miracle next cycle.

Thanks for all of the great advice and info!! I think we will give it a go and keep our fingers crossed!! I just didn't want to take a risk, but everyone seems to say depending on how far along you were, you weren't past 6 weeks, then it should be ok

Good luck to you in your next cycle!! BABY DUST!!

Well we are trying again, and I haven't had my first post mc AF yet. I mc'd at 6 weeks, my levels went back to 0 and my doc said that we didn't have to wait for one cycle, that we could start trying as soon as my levels were below 10. I have no idea if i O'd or not, but we have been doing lots of BD!! as we both really want a baby!! So hopefully if I did O we caught it, but we are still gonna try until AF or a BFP....except I have no idea when to start testing. hmmm...

My first m/c was at 10 weeks and required a d&c. My son was conceived after my first m/c. I had a BFP six weeks after my d&c, no AF. He was born happy and healty, weighing 9lbs, 12 oz.

We tried to pull it off a second time, too. After my 2nd m/c, I got pg immediately, within 5 or 6 weeks, without AF. Unfortunately, that pg ended in m/c, too.

My first doctor said that it was safe to try right away, that it was more for dating the pregnancy. The second doctor said to wait three months, but we didn't listen. I think is was more for my emotional well-being. I now know that my m/c had nothing to do with my linings not being restored.

I say go for it! I'm so glad that we did.

My doctor told me to "go get busy" after my miscarriage at 6 wks. And I o'd 2 weeks later and Af came 2 weeks after that, right on time. Good Luck!
