I am just wondering if any of you ladies take any kind of progesterone supplement? I guess I am getting a little worried about TTC again since we have already had 2 mc's. We are supposed to get the results of our blood tests tomorrow, but if everything is fine I don't think the doctor will do anything different for us. I feel like we should try to take some precautions or do something??? I have read a little about progesterone and some women swear by it. But when i mentioned this to my doc he said that progesterone and baby aspirin (I asked about that also) were not something we needed to take that he didn't think that this was the problem. But we don't know what the problem is... they haven't said anything to us as to what could be causing the mc's except bad luck. I guess I have just read some women have taken progesterone and baby aspirin as a precaution and had successful pregnancies and if it doesn't hurt... why not?

I have also read online about OTC pregesterone cream and just wondering if anyone uses this and what they think??? So much to think about, I just don't want to have another mc.

I don't have any advice, but it is something I am worried about too. In fact, I've just about convinced myself that is my problem. I have short cycles and I think my luteal phase is only about 10 days. I am having some blood work done next cycle too, including checking my progesterone. But I think if they find I have low progesterone they would do the supplements.

I take 200MG of prometrium because of low progestrone and I started to take baby asiprin and B complex this cycle. The prometrium didn't work last cycle because I just found out that I have a chromosome inversion and that is why I keep having miscarriages. I have a doctor's appointment this Thursday with a gentic conselor to see what my chances are for having a healthy baby. I asked my doctor about the medicine I was taking and if I should keep taking it and she said it wouldn't hurt.

Well when I had my miscarriage I asked the doctor about the baby aspirin and extra folic acid and she said absolutely that it cannot hurt at all. Now for the progesterone she put me on it three days after I ovulated and had me stay on it until AF came. When it came I stopped. Some people say that AF won't come while you are on progesterone but I never had a problem with it. I also temped and charted and knew that AF was on her way when my temps dropped.

Also we never found out what caused my miscarriage but we do know that I had low progesterone to begin with. So that's why she prescribed that for me. The baby aspirin is 81mg and it's mainly for any type of blood clotting disorder plus it builds up the lining of the uterus.

I have been taking progesterone since my last AF (12/10/06) and my pregnancy has been progessing just fine. I think my levels in the beginning were 30.4 and with my miscarriage they were 13 or 15.
