I swear, that dr that did my last surgery must be a complete idiot. I sent him a letter with pictures detailing what I wanted to know about my left tube and the possible re-growth of it, or what the original dr thinks is a new blood vessel. Even after the letter and the pictures, he still gave me an answer that didn’t make any sense!
According to the message left by the nurse he
now says that it looks like 2/3 of it was removed, and that what remains is just dilated, and he does not recommend the HSG test because of risk of further infection. Okay, WHAT???? So I called back and talked to a nurse, and I said, what does that mean, dilated, oh, she said, just that it was enlarged during the surgery. I said, okay, I get the
width part, but what about the
length part? That’s NOT where it was cut off and there's ALOT more there then when it was removed! So she left another message for the dr regarding that.
I swear, I am almost tempted (just for this whole question) to just go back to the original dr that removed the left tube even with his horrible, horrible nursing staff. And how am I going to get an infection from that (unless they royally screw up)? Since I
never had an infection in the first place, what does he mean, FURTHER?
Can I strangle him???
I plan to wait for his next answer, then depending on what he says this time, call the original dr back and schedule the HSG down here bc obviously this dr isn't going to schedule one. This is ridiculous. How can two doctors have such different opinions? I guess that's why the term "second opinion" came about.
beating head against wall . . .
ETA I emailed this mess to my mom (she's a nurse's assistant in the orthopedic department of the hospital where she lives), she was with me the day of this last surgery, she thinks that this dr has forgotten all the details and just doesn't want to admit it. I am starting to think she might be right!
