I am not sure if I have had a loss yet so I hope you don't me coming here for support. Last week I had an u/s (8 weeks) and they couldn't find the baby. They said it is possible that I come back in 2 weeks and everything will be fine and my dates were just off. I am trying to stay positive because there is nothing I can do but wait. I haven't had the first drop of spotting and I am still having the "growing pain" cramps, my boobs are still really sore, I am still nauseated if I don't eat. I am still emotional (however that could be stress) and I am still really tired (again could be stress/depression). So my question is that if in fact this is a loss or a blighted ovum would I still have pg symptoms or do you think there is a chance my baby is growing? I want to hang on to some hope but I am prepared for a loss. Has anyone had a blighted ovum and still felt pg symptoms before miscarrying? Thanks in advance.

I had a blighted ovum with my pregnancy back in January. I still had some symptoms of pg, but started feeling a bit better - it was as if my symptoms were decreasing slightly. I still felt nauseous, my bbs still hurt, I still peed all the time. I started spotting slightly after I went to the OB and they didn't see the baby on the u/s - maybe a week after that appt. In my heart, I knew something was wrong. You are right though, at this point, you can't do anything but try to stay as positive as possible.

Good luck and I'll be crossing my fingers for you!

Thank you. My DH says that since I still have symptoms it must mean everything is ok. He is being sweet and trying to keep me positive but I know the reality is that my body may think I am still pg. I will just have to wait to be sure.
