So the anniversary of my first m/c is coming up in about a week... I think I'm going to be ok since so much has happened since then, but the hard part is that it's also the same day as my birthday. I already took the day off work because I don't want any cake or being taken to lunch, since no one knows about my loss at work and I would probably start crying at some point. I don't know what to do at home. I'm thinking dinner and a movie with hubby, something mellow... does that sound like a good idea? DH said he would make a cake which I think is really sweet. I hope it's chocolate!

We had no money today, so for my birthday we packed up sandwiches and went out to the park and had a picnic. Something simple is good, I think. Good luck finding something, and I'm sorry that you had to go through something so horrible on your birthday!

I am so sorry for your loss!! And then to have that happen on your birthday, too I can relate to that! It was the day before my birthday when the first pg ruptured my left tube. Your DH sounds very sweet, and I hope you are able to have a great night with him!

Yes, he is the best! Actually I wish I knew what to do for him... our 2nd pg would have been due on his birthday and he was so excited about that. But I guess there's nothing to say, just be good to each other which we are. I'm so sorry about your tube troubles, especially about the ectopic pg that ruptured one the day before your birthday! My thoughts are with all you ladies, I'm proud of all of us for being so brave!

It's hard having these anniversaries. I always try to think of it this way, I have an angel.

My daughter Khloe, she is two, she talks to a 'ghost' named abby. She always looks at the ceiling and points. She'll say, 'hi abby'. It ook me a while. Then it dawned on me. Abby is an acronym for baby. Maybe she's talking to her lost brother or sister.

Try to stay positive.

Melissa
