Thursday was a week since my D&C. My bleeding had stopped, just some light brown spotting on Wed and Thurs. Friday, all done....well....DH and I DTD Friday night...and that was fine, no pain, no issues there. Yesterday was fine...I was worried that I would spot or something after that...but nothing. So, I figured I was in the clear. I was so excited to start the wait for AF after the post D&C bleeding. Well, this morning I got up, went into DD's room, and felt a gush...went to the bathroom, and sure enough, DARK red blood again, and now it's like a period flow again, like it was a few days after the surgery. UGH.....so this is continuing on. I just want to get this over with so I can get my first AF, and start TTC again. This just feels like it is taking forever and just WASTING precious time.
We are going on vacation in 2 weeks. I really hope that this is all over an ddone by then....ARGH!!! Anyone else have any weird bleeding continue like this a few days after stopping after a MC or D&C?? I had read somewhere that it really takes at least 4 weeks after all bleeding stops to consider a AF....but a lot of women say they get their first AF 4-6 weeks following the actual surgery....this just makes it so hard to not know what's going on with my body and to not know what to expect...

Hi, Linette. I'm so sorry you are going through this. They say after a m/c, you must go 20 straight days with no bleeding before AF arrives. They say 4-6 weeks. I got AF 5 weeks after. I know how frustrated you feel. We've been TTC again since January. I've obsessed about it so this cycle I pretty much said "I'm done obsessing". If it happens, it happens but I'm not keeping track of my cycle days, etc.

I know it's hard, but try to relax and enjoy your vacation.
