so we have started demolishing the girls rooms for the remodeling and i was taking some pics. look at all the orbs in the pics! it's kinda freaking me out.

wow, that's alot!!! Looks like you're having the same fun we are right now!
We got the same thing when demolishing our dining room, and in one of the pics there's SO many that I kind of wonder if it's not dust picked up in the flash instead of orbs. But in the rest there's only like 3 - 4 so I'm pretty sure they're orbs - lots of our relatives must be watching us make a mess and laughing, I'm sure!

well either a lot of relatives laughing at us or a lot of PO'd spirits because we're ripping the walls down lol...... i just never saw so many in one pic before!

how is your remodeling coming? are you guys done yet?

we finished putting up the sheetrock last night about 8pm and I worked today so either tonight or tomorrow I start the mudding/taping. Man is it warmer in there now that we (finally) have insulation!

yeah insulation makes a huge difference! our house didn't have any either and there is a huge difference in the rooms we've already done and the one's that aren't. i can't wait to see your after pics when it's all done!

Ok, I feel a little stupid... but what is an orb supposed to be?? I figure they must be the weird circles in the pics but I am curious what the significance is... is it said that they are spirits or ghosts...

That is a perfectly natural question! Orbs would be spirits that have passed on, and may or may not be someone you know. They show up as the white blobs in the pics, and you can sort of see a face in them. My brother sees them around him occasionally.
A ghost would show in human form as they have not yet "moved on". My uncle has 3 in his newly built house ; they are attached to the land and we're trying very hard to get them to move on.

Not trying to sound mean or anything, but being you are tearing everything down it could also be dust your seeing.

that's okay, not everyone believes in orbs. but since i've never seen dust that big, i didn't have the flash on and i have a ton of other pics with the exact same thing in them when we weren't ripping stuff apart, i'm pretty sure they're orbs.

I do believe in them, but I know I have gotten a ton of dust just like that myself. Really hard to tell!

That's awesome! I love this kind of stuff! Is there any history behind the house? Our house was built in the 1890's. A woman died in our dining room. I haven't seen any weird stuff going on yet, aside from a "man" walking up our driveway twice now and I go outside and no one is there.

Both times I thought it was an actual man, until I went outside and no one was in site. The 1st time I was in the dining room, literally 20 feet away from the driveway. The 2nd time I was in the basement and saw him from the basement window. Both times by the time I got outside, there was no one there. And there was no where for them to go that fast for it to be a real person. When we 1st moved in 2 different people got locked into our bathroom. Our bathroom door has the old keyhole locks and the only way to lock it is to put the key in the door. One time it was kind of funny because we were outside having a cook-out and my sister started yelling from the bathroom window that she was locked in. My DH went upstairs and the door was locked. Luckily we have the old key above the threshold of the door and she unlocked it. I've tried to turn the knob different ways to see if it would lock and it wouldn't. Luckily DH, DD or I have never been locked in so I guess they like us!!

Those pics on that site were interesting! DH is convinced our pics are just of dust, but now after seeing so many others get the same thing in non-dusty situations, I'm thinking I was right in the first place! So I thought I'd share Our house was built in 1901 (at least that's what the deed claims, we think the dining room was the original structure and built in 1856 when the deed shows the property going from $300 to $3000). As far as I know only 1 person died because he fell down the stairs, but we don't know if he actually died in the house or just as a result of the fall.

Here's one that I only noticed 2 (in the window of the door) until I lightened the pic. then lots more showed up! You can actually see faces in the 2 in the door window.


Normally I don't get to "see" anything but I can sense presences. What's really funny is to watch my female, Iria. She's extremely sensitive and you can watch her follow something with her eyes quite often. One time she was very obvious about it and really wanted to get our attention. She was watching something and then she'd run and look pointedly at a family photo (my dad was in it and he passed on in 2001, everyone else in the photo is still here) and then she'd run back and forth between the two. She'd look at "it" (him) then at the photo, then at me, and repeated that several times. DH and I were like, okay, we get it, Dad's here!!! Then she stopped.
Once before he passed (he was pretty much unconsious though, in his last 3 weeks) I was upstairs getting ready for bed and had my contacts out (I'm pretty much blind without them! ) and I heard like an open-handed slap on the bathroom door. Well, where the full-length mirror is located I could see the reflection of the backside of the door from the otherside of the bathroom where I was standing. And even without my contacts in I very clearly saw a hand on the door, attached to a figure dressed in black shirt and jeans (my dad's favorite attire he always thought it looked smart) and it disappeared down the hallway. I ran to the door and yelled down the stairs (bc that's where DH was) to don't do that! But, he was right below me in the living room and there's no way he could have gotten down the stairs and around the house to the back of the living room in that time frame, especially without me hearing/seeing him. He said he heard it too and thought I crashed into something.
The only other time I've seen something was at a restaurant I worked at when I was a teen. The place used to be a saloon in the old days and all of us there had at one time or another (or all of us together) would see a black shadow out of the corner of our eyes walk from the front of the kitchen straight out the back door. and we'd all be like, did you see that too? And one time there I did catch a glimpse of a man wearing a flannel shirt standing a few feet from me, but I looked again, and the room was empty.

i do see a lot in your pic too! and they do say that animals and babies can sense things more than adults can. i've never actually seen anything like ghosts or figures, just the orbs in pics but i love hearing the stories. it's so interesting! thanks for sharing!

Since we are talking about this, my mom swears this is my grandma. It was Christmas at my moms this year. My grandma passed away in Aug, and my mom swears she felt my grandma. This is a pic we got. I am not convinced its my grandma but thought I would share.



Its weird since its the only one in the pic, but who knows!

i see it! i noticed quite a few orbs in my christmas pics too. and theres one pic of the`girls opening presents and there is this really bright orb right between the two of them. i'll have to see if i can find that one.

your moms tree is really pretty!

Awww thanks the grandkids helped her do it this year.
My mom sees to think its grandma because its the only one, she said if it was dust then there would be more. Hard to say.
