Right before I found out I was pregnant I had little hints that my hormones were doing something different. My face didn't break out a week before AF was due and my bbs didn't start getting sore until later (usually with AF they stay sore for a week before AF). Anyway, the day that I got my BFP I started paying attention to all the feelings I was having. I immediately had constant cramping very low in my pelvis. It didn't feel like AF was trying to start so I thought my uterus was growing and getting more vascular, swollen, etc. I also had lower back pain the whole time. This lasted for several days and then went away. A few days later I felt it again, but then it gave way to the rolling, intermittent cramping that I have with AF and the heavy bleeding started. I'm just wondering if the pains I felt in the beginning were normal for pregnancy or if they were a sign of things to come? Did anybody else feel this?

Because we had been trying for awhile and my DH had had a vas reversal, and I am a medical person working in a clinic I was VERY aware of everything going on. I tested The day I was to start AF, I had been over emotional and tired but figured it was due to the fact that my little sister had just found out she was preggo (an oops!). I also had lower abdo cramping not unlike a period. When we got that BFP I all the sudden got all the classic symptoms-nausea, tired, sore bbs, ect. But as the wks went on I also cont. with the cramping, had some spotting, and lower back pain. Around 8 wks when the "fetal demise" happened, which it wasnt really a fetus yet I had been sick with a sinus infection, and so thought that the extra tired and not feeling very good was part of that. Looking back I had spotted (pink/mucous looking) and had really bad back pain and "gas" cramping around that time. My HCG was climbing but probably not as fast as it should have. About 2 wks later I felt something wasnt right because I didnt feel my uterus growing anymore-I am a belly sleeper and had felt something growing in there fairly early-my DH said my imagination :-) Around 9-11 wks I had brought home a doppler and we searched and searched for a heartbeat-never finding one. Anyways I was told to go with my intuition and if I felt something wasnt right it probably wasnt, so I pushed for an US and there wasnt a 11 wk fetus just and amniotic sack at what the US tech thought stopped growing around 8 wks.
But everything looked good and we are just waiting for everything to get back to normal so we can work on trying again. I think it will be easier and more enjoyable this time as I know we CAN get preggo. At least I hope I won't get over obsessive now-it was hard on DH everytime AF started and I would cry for a week.

I know what you mean, before I found out I was pg I had these cramps that would make me stop in my tracks. I found out I was pg and the dr told me it was just the uterus growing not to worry. But I knew, everytime I went to the bathroom I was waiting for the spotting to come. Its like I just knew in the back of my mind it wasnt going to stick.

With my first miscarriage I definitely knew something was wrong around 5 1/2 weeks. I had bad m/s with my first 2 (successful) pregnancies and with that pregnancy I felt fine. That worried me a bit. Then one day at 5 1/2 weeks I had some serious cramping. It felt very weird and uncomfortable. Not at all like af cramps or normal pregnancy cramps. That night I had some light brown spotting. I asked around about it and everyone said it was probably ok since it wasn't red. Over the next couple of days the cramping stopped but the spotting continued (only when I wiped) and gradually turned a light pink. That lasted for 3-4 days. Then it stopped for a couple of days and I felt fine. Then about a week after the cramping, I had some red spotting and I knew then it was over. A couple of days later I started bleeding while I was out of town. I went to the ER and they confirmed the miscarriage via ultrasound.

With my second miscarriage, I had faint positives in dollar tree tests at 9, 10, 11 and 12 dpo. They weren't really getting darker. So I bought a FRER and took it at 12 dpo and got a strong positive, so I thought I was ok. I didn't have any unusual cramping or anything. Then at 16dpo I took another FRER just because I had one and it was a bit lighter which concerned me. The next day I started light spotting and the following day bleeding. Blood tests confirmed my numbers were dropping. I really didn't expect to have 2 in a row like that.

Prior to my m/c, I was having crampy feelings. I thought it was normal, but I knew something was wrong. I was also spotting during the cramps.

I had a strange feeling that something wasn't right, but I wouldn't let myself believe it. I had cramping and spotting the weekend after getting my BFP, and we went to the ER. My levels were tested, and things were looking "ok" at that point, but it was too early to tell. As I had my levels checked, they just weren't going up as fast as they should have, and I had bad feelings about it. Then we had levels drawn and the numbers were dropping and we knew I think I had that feeling before it happened though. It's hard to believe my due date is coming up so fast, just a month away....

With my first miscarriage I thought everything was fine until I started spotting. Not bleeding, just brown spotting when I wiped. That carried on for over a week.

Then one night I was laying on the couch and talking to a friend on the phone. I started to feel this weird sensation in my lower abdomen. Not exactly cramping, it was more of pulling type sensation. It was really odd. I started to feel really scared about it and went to the bathroom and I was passing tissue. At that point I knew it was over . We went to the ER and they confirmed my cervix was open and that I was miscarrying.

With my second miscarriage I felt pretty confident but was having spotting episodes. It was really random but very scary. Each episode started out bright red with clots and we went the ER. Upon being checked my cervix would be closed and the spotting would diminish to brown and be gone by the next day. I had several u/s for these incidents but everything always looked okay. After the 4th and final episode at 7w6d I went in for an u/s the next day expecting the same news as before but was devastated to learn the baby had stopped growing several days prior. I had to have a d&c.
