As I posted before, I started my period yesterday. The first one after my m/c. I am bleeding sooo heavy and there are lots of clots. I'm soaking a pad in an hour easily. I just tried to call the doctor, but they're closed already. Does anybody know if this is normal?

There may be some leftover tissue from the miscarriage. that's probably why they tell you to wait at least one cycle before trying again. It's normal for me though. I always have very heavy bleeding with every period. I think it's okay.

Is heavy bleeding normal for you on your first few days. I don't think the small clots are a problem. I know I had clots for the first AF after my m/c. How long has it been since your m/c?

If you are really worried you can always call the er and speak to somebody there!! If you have a fever I would def. call!!!

I hope this helps, I know all the ladies are great and here for you!!

I don't usually bleed heavy during my periods. Not like this anyway. It's been 6 weeks since my D&C. I don't have a fever. I feel fine other than the bleeding which is still going on. I'm debating calling off work. I never use my period as an excuse to stay home from work. I'm trying not to worry too much. I'll try calling my dr again today.

Thank you so much.

My OB told me that my first AF will be very heavy and clotty. I don't know about the soaking a pad an hour though. I would think that was a little much. I would call your OB to be sure, if you havent' already. I hope it slows down soon.

Oh I'm glad I saw this post...because I had the same worry when I got my first AF after the m/c. It was heavy and lots of clots as well. I had thought I was going through another m/c again. But glad to hear that it is normal.

Another m/c ran through my mind too! But, I did an HPT a week ago and it was negative. So, I didn't really think that was it. The bleeding has slowed way down. Thank you everybody for your help.
