I just talked to my ob's office. They said my blood tests came back ok except the progesterone was low. This is what I expected to hear. This last cycle was only 24 days with I think a 10 day luteal phase (plus I spotted for the last day). I've also had 2 early losses which she said could have been caused by the short luteal phase/progesterone. So I am going to try clomid this cycle, starting tomorrow. It feels a little weird since I know that I am ovulating (I've gotten pregnant 2x in 9 months and I didn't even try 3 of them b/c of waiting after the miscarriages) but I've been looking on the internet and it seems somewhat common to use clomid for this type of case. Anyone have any experience with it? I guess I expected progesterone supplements instead, but apparently they are somewhat controversial themselves?

I was on my second month of Clomid last cycle and I got pregnant. Unfortunately I lost the pregnancy yesterday, but I still have hope that he will let me start Clomid again and count yesterday as cycle day 1. I was VERY early (shy of 5 weeks), my levels just wouldn't get high enough. I was also taking a progesterone supplement (suppository), and we just switched to the cream. I am guessing he will also raise that RX as well.

The only bad things I have noticed about Clomid is hot flashes and I am pretty moody, but it really is only for the 5 days I take it. Ovulation cramps are VERY distinct for me, but I think that is a pretty good thing.

I did Clomid for one cycle for a short luteal phase(8-10 days) and got pregnant right away. I'm having a sort of "slow" miscarriage...but I'm kind of hoping that it will work almost as a period, as I was only 5 weeks and 2 days.

My doc opted for Clomid rather than progesterone suppositories...he didn't tell me why, and I didn't argue! He also told me that he doesn't think that I'll need it after getting back on track from the m/c...so I think we'll go one cycle without it, and then if it doesn't work, go back on it.

Good luck!!!

As of now, I haven't been on it (that may change this month). But I just wanted to say good luck!
