How long did it take you ladies to get AF back after your m/c?

It has been two weeks since mine and I'm constantly going back and forth as to weather we should give it a go this month or not. I'm thinking I'm not emotionally ready -- by that I mean I still get upset if there are pregnant women around me or little babies so I'm taking that as a sign I'm not ready.

I don't think I have ovulated yet because I did one of those POAS ovulation tests and I think I used it correctly - it shows I'm not ovulating yet.

I've always had a regular period and I thought for sure my body would get back to normal quickly but I guess not.

From what I have heard or what I was told when I m/c'd I would just go on to have a normal period, which I did. It lasted a little longer than normal (2 days longer) but I was told I can try this month.

I want to get PG mainly because I have friends who are PG and we want our kids to grow up together (our firsts are all within 2 months of each other). That and I want to have #2 by the time I am 30 (which will be April 08).

Good luck in your qwest to be a mommy and hopfully you can get AF back to normal and you can figure out when you want to TTC!

It took me 4 weeks to get AF and it was a little lighter than normal, but longer. I also think my O time is off now. It used to be day 10-11. Now I am on CD18 and I am pretty sure I didn't O yet. Next month I plan on using OPK's for sure. M/C really sucks

My husband was hoping for one by the time he was 30. This one was due the day before his 30th. Well, we all know how this story ends.

I was never into those ovulation test things but now I'm curious as to what day it happens on - though I know this particular cycle won't nessaciarly be normal.

It took me exactly 5 weeks to get AF after my m/c and D&C. We started trying right away after the D&C and are still waiting for that bfp, it's been 4 months now........I'm trying to be patient!!!

After my first m/c it was 5-6 weeks. After the second it was 11 weeks. Everyone is different...

Also, FYI... when using OPKs you must use them for several days because if not you could definitely miss your O. OPKs detect your LH surge (a hormone that is released right before you O). If you already knew this info than ignore what I said.

good luck!!

It took 5 weeks and 1 day for AF to return for me. It was heavier than usual the first few days, but lasted only about 4 days instead of the nomal 5-6. But I was expecting a heavy painful AF from what I heard from some others, so I was relieved. I'm not sure when I will O this month. I never really kept track of it before, because I got pregnant fast both times. So, I started using OPK's last night on CD9 and plan to use them all week to see what happens. If I go back to a normal cycle pattern, I should O toward the end of the week, but that's to say if my body is going back to normal just yet.
Good luck to you! And have fun TTC again!

AF showed 4 Weeks 3 days after my m/c for me. The first two days were heavier than usual, but not too bad compared to what I've heard from some of the people here on the board. This was right about the time I thought AF would show, so maybe my body is back to normal. I don't keep track of when I O, so I don't know when I'm suppose to O, but hopefully I will be successful this month! Good luck to you whichever way you choose.

It took just 4 weeks after both of mine. And it was pretty much like a normal af for me.

I posted this same question and then 2 days later AF showed. It took exactly 1 month from the day I started bleeding with the m/c. I will be using OPK's also to pinpoint my O time. Good luck!

Thanks for your responses everyone. I'm not sure if I'm going to get into opk's or not. I bought one a couple of days ago becasue I was curious but I'm not sure about being able to determine if the lines are close enough in color or not. We shall see I guess.
