I'm wondering what the odds are that I will have another m/c after my first one? I was only 4 1/2 weeks when it happened so I'm thinking maybe it was a chromosome error or a problem with implantation? So what is the chance that it will happen again? My doc said 15% but I don't know about that. I hate to be negative, but I'm afraid it will happen again. What are my chances of getting pregnant again a month after a m/c?

My dr. told me (and I've also read in quite a few places) that the chances are no higher for a repeat miscarriage after having only one than if you hadn't had any at all, especially an early loss. I believe the numbers are between 10 - 15%.

I'm sorry for your loss - but don't give up hope yet! Good luck!

Lisa

My doctor said the same thing.

Thanks girls. Does anyone know if it's easier to get pregnant the second time around right after a m/c? I've heard that it is, but don't know why.

I have heard the same thing..but I think they are referring to the month right after your m/c. But as you can see, I'm still not pregnant. However, that means nothing for you!! I hope you get your BFP soon!

I have also heard this but have no idea why. I'd like to know the science behind that and I really wish it is true!

I have heard that when you m/c your body feels like it failed you and works super hard to get pg again. I have no idea if this is true. I am just finishing AF since my m/c and I hope that I get my BFP, but only time will tell. Good luck!

I've heard the same thing too, but I'm now on my 3rd full cycle since my m/c. I guess it varies for everyone.

Good luck hun!
