DH and I lost our son a week ago due to PROM (I was 20w5d) and want to try again as soon as we can (I am 34). Doctor said to wait 2 cycles. How bad would it be to try after just one? I am going crazy here!

I'm no doctor, but I think most of the time if you are that far along in pregnancy when you experience a loss, they want you to wait a few cycles to let your body recover. Because it is quite a trauma to the body. But my new doctor was talking to us about trying again, and he was saying to me that it wouldn't hurt to be pregnant before I got my post m/c AF, and I asked him about loss again. He said "Well, my brother is 10 months older than me, if that tells you anything!" So, it's possible. I think it all depends on you. Let yourself have some time to heal, but when you feel ready, go for it!

I'm so sorry for your loss! But this is a great group of ladies that have all been there and completely understand!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine losing a baby at 20+ weeks. It would probably just about break me in half.

My doctor let us try again after one normal cycle (so 6w). He says some doctors say to wait longer, but it's more the psychological aspect than the physical, he said. I've never been more than 8w pg at the time of loss, so physically, I'm not sure if it makes a difference being further along.

Be good to yourself. (((((((hugs)))))))
