Hi, I haven't posted here in a while, but I check in every so often. I saw your post and had to respond. Sex is painful for me and has been since I was 23 (I'm 31 now). I've been diagnosed with what's called vulvar vestibulitis.
Vulvar Vestibulitis Syndrome
Women with VVS have pain only in the vestibule, and only during or after touch or pressure is applied. Burning sensations are the most common symptom and may be experienced with some or all of the following: sexual intercourse, tampon insertion, gynecologic examination, bicycle riding, and wearing tight pants.
Unfortunately "they" don't know what causes it, although for me they believe it could have been reoccurring yeast infections. There's also no exact cure for it, but there are methods used to help ease the pain.
Also, many doctors are not informed about this condition. It can take a woman seeing 10 doctors before she is finally diagnosed, and there are MANY women who have this. Amazing huh?
I encourage you to search this on the internet and you'll find a lot of information. Also definitely bring it up to your doctor. There are specialist who specialize in just this that may be able to help you.
Good luck! I know it sucks big time especially when you have had a loss as well.
