With my first loss, I needed to have a D&C because I was 10 weeks and my body wasn't letting go. I bled for 6 weeks straight after the surgery. It was awful but normal according to my doctor. When I had my second loss, I was just over 5 weeks pregnant so I had a heavier than normal period but it didn't last for more than 8 days. I hope that helps a little.

My loss was at 14weeks (ended up with a D&C after 5 days of trying to do it naturally) and I bled/spotted for two weeks. It would taper off and the gush, then taper off then gush. I know TMI!

Are you having any unusual cramping or pain, even slight? I don't want to scare you but here's my experience: both of my pg's I knew I was pg, tested positive the day AF was due, but started bleeding a week after AF was due. But, both mine were ectopic (technically 1 heterotopic) and it was the continued bleeding that tipped me off the first time along with some unusual occasional pain that something wasn't right. The bleeding was light, like I would just need a panty liner, but it just kept on going and going, and I bled for 3 weeks with the 1st pg before the dr's would agree with me that it wasn't a m/c and that something was wrong. I hope this is not the case for you! But unusual bleeding is something you should get checked out. Good luck, and let us know how your dr appt goes!

well i had some cramping the day that i considered CD 1 which was teh friday before last...it was pretty strong...from then on i have had some wierd cramps but they dont hurt like omg im dying...but i feel them off and on. also the other day i got a really bad cramp/pain and i felt like i couldnt move it was really painful for asec i thought it was like those omg i have to go the bathroom diarreah pains (sorry if tmi) but when i got to my friends hosue it went away and thats it then today at work i moved and i had a sharp pain on my right side but then it went away after a min or two. if i would have an eptopic pregnancy would my BBT being going up and down or would it stay up like a regular pregnancy? they made my doc appt for next tue. but if i keep bleeding i told the nurse to see if i can go in on friday lets say.

Did you ever take a HPT? That should tell you for sure, if you are pg and it is ectopic, it will still register on the HPT.

I don't know what to tell you about the temps, I never charted my temps, but typically (but not always) with an ectopic the HCG levels fluctuate so I don't know if that would cause temp fluxes or not. Seriously, I don't want to scare you, but having pain on one side or the other isn't good. But it could be a cyst causing pain too. Or a cyst could cause the light bleeding, I think. I didn't have ANY cramping with the 1st pg, but I did have alot of cramping with the 2nd pg even though it was ectopic, so you never know what you're going to get.

If you get any more pains on one side or the other, or up in your shoulders (that's another symptom of ectopic, although I didn't get that either time) go into the ER, because ectopics can rupture, and you might never associate the pain you're feeling with something inside of you rupturing. I was lucky, I had ruptured 3 weeks before the dr's agreed with me there was something wrong during the 1st pg and was very, very lucky to not go septic in that time. But I didn't feel it rupture. The bad pain I had was the blood (TMI here) seeping out and occasionally hitting my sciatic nerve. Other than that, it was a dull ache, but way, way up on my left side, just under my ribcage. With the 2nd, I ruptured the night before an appt, so while I was there they discovered the free flowing fluid on the u/s and I had surgery the same day. And that one just felt like a bad case of gas, which a huge fart the next morning completely relieved. So I was really suprised that that pg was ectopic.

If by survive you mean successful pregnancy, then no, they cannot as the tube cannot support it like the uterus will. That, and there's just not enough room for expansion, hence the rupturing. Sometimes ectopics abort on their own with no medical intervention, sometimes doctors will give you meds to terminate it, which should expel it, and sometimes it has to be removed by surgery (as in my case). I think that's the worst part of an ectopic, knowing you have to terminate it when you want a baby so much.
Good luck testing and I hope in this case it's a BFN!

hope you're okay and you get some good answers at the doc's! I would think that even if you were having a m/c that it would register on the HPT too, it does take awhile for the HCG levels to drop.

I'm so sorry to hear about this sweetie, I know it can be really frightening. Just try to stay calm as best you can, no matter what happens, and be sure to get into the doc and let us know what happens. You're in my prayers! <3
