Hi ladies,
I'm Annissa, I was in the Jan DDC. I just had a recent loss. At my 9wk scan we discovered an empty sac. I just had a complete miscarriage this past Wednesday at 11w3d.
We are anxious to start ttc again. My OB said it's best to wait 3 months. I'm curious how many of you waited that long? I kind of just want to go with the flow, let God do what he will. I was supposed to begin Clomid before finding out about my pregnancy and my OB thinks I would benefit from starting it to ttc again. Has anyone moved onto meds? Had success on them? I am more nervous about becoming pg after my first loss. I would appreciate any input and would love to hear more about you all.
Thanks!

Thank you. I appreciate the reply. I am going to wait until I at least get my normal period back. My OB told me that their is a slightly elevated risk of another m/c if you don't wait the 3 months. So I am wondering if anyone didn't wait and went on to have a healthy 9mo. pgncy and a healthy baby. While I am of course scared to have that happen again, I am not going to let the fear take over. We were waiting 2.5 years before achieving this last pregnancy and I really don't want to wait any longer than I have to, to bring home a healthy baby.

I had the same type of m/c as you did..."blighted ovum" or "empty sac" miscarriage and I did not wait to try again! DH and I started to BD again right after the doc gave me the ok that my body was healed enough to have sex again..which was about 2 weeks b/c I opted to have a D&C instead of waiting to have a natural m/c. Of course, I'm still not pg yet, but I DO NOT believe that not waiting puts you at a higher risk of another blighted ovum m/c......usually docs just want u to wait a few cycles before trying again so that they can better mark your pregnancy if you were to get pg again right away! GOOD LUCK!

Thank you for replying! I was thinking the same thing, it doesn't make much sense. We will start trying again after my first AF. I'm so sorry for your loss!

Hi Trying4baby3. I was also a member of the Jan 08 DDC and am I current member of the PG loss board. Looks like you and I are in the same boat.

I just wanted to give you some hope. We lost our 1st baby July 30, 2005. Waited one month and got PG with our DD in September 2005. She is happy and healthy and I carried her for 38 & 1/2 weeks. It can happen Hon. Keep the faith.

DH and I have put our fertility in Gods hands this month since I have not had my 1st AF yet and so far I am on CD 39 and have gotten 2 BFN
I know it will happen on His time not ours. I'll keep you in my prayers!

Hi, I think I remember seeing your name. I'm so sorry for your loss. I am glad to hear that it can happen. We are keeping faith that in God's time we will have our baby. I have battled over and over in my head whether or not to do Clomid, since I don't ovulate regularly it can only help. I know that no amount of science will get me pg if it's not in His will. I keep praying that it is and that we will be holding our baby very soon. Thank you for the prayers, I will keep you in mine as well.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss *hug* My loss happened April 15, 2007. My doctor suggested that I allow my body to go thru a complete cycle prior to TTC again. I am currently at the end of my 2nd cycle and just waiting for Friday to creep around so that I can test. I say taht yo uknow how your body feels, and how you mentally feel...you will know when you are ready to start TTC again.

Do you know that joke about the man who drowding and keeps turning away rescue boats say "God will save me". Then he drowds and goes to heaven and asks God "why didn't you save me?" And God say "I sent you THREE boats!" Well maybe Clomid is your boat. Just keep praying on it.

Also my doctor told me that your body is normally more fertile after a m/c. Maybe give it a month or two of TTC w/o assistance and if you don't get your baby by then your heart will have an answer for you about Clomid.

SORRY IF I OFFEND!!!
DH & I are Catholic and the Church teaches certian things about using medical treatments to get pregnant (most of which I think are crap since my little sister is a IUI baby with my aunt as a surogant) but Clomid is on the 'approved' list since it is still you and your hubby making the baby the good old fashion way. Just food for thought....

Thank you. So totally what I needed to hear! You didn't offend me at all. I grew up in a Christian home and nobody ever talked about these sorts of situations. I have and will continue to pray about it.
Thanks again!
