Hello everyone,

I am new on here. I have been learning a lot from this wonderful website in the last month or so and decided to join the forum. So here is my story.... I have a wonderful 4 year old daughter that I conceived when I was 21 years old (a wonderful surprise!). No problems with the pregnancy. Fast forward a couple of years and I got pregnant again, with my DH, and I went on to m/c when I was 7 wks along. I bled for several weeks before I actually m/c'd. Doctor's said I had a sub-chorionic Hematoma. In other words, lots of large blood clots pushing on my uterus. So it was an awful and traumatic experience, but I did not need any help with it. My body completed it naturally. I was soooooo torn up after it all happened that it took me this long (2yrs and counting) to decide to ttc again. We tried last month but I think I may have misread the OPK's that were positive. I tested several times, thinking we had made it, and all BFN's. I am on CD3 right now and we are going to try again this month, I am just worried that I may not ever be able to conceive again. I know this is probably not true, but it is very scary to think about when you really want it. Has anyone ever gone through the type of M/C I had? Words of wisdom would help a ton!!!!!! Thanks!

Welcome to Justmommies I hope your stay on this board is short and sweet. I am so sorry for your loss.

My m/c was at 14 weeks. We started TTC again for the past three cycles. I read somewhere that even with no fertility problems a couple only has a 30% chance of conceiving each cycle.

Have you tried charting your temps? I find that is a lot more accurate for me than OPK's. Charting is kind of fun too. It cool to see what your body is doing when.

I wish I had some words of wisdom, but I really don't. I just wanted to say I am glad you found the boards.

Thank you very much for the welcome! I will try to make it a short stay if possible. How can you tell if you ovulate with the temperature charting? Never done that before.

Welcome to Justmommies! I'm sorry about your loss. But im glad to hear that your going to try again!
I decided that the more i tried and kept track of everything, i never got any answers. I just figured that if God wants me to have another baby he will allow it. so now i dont do anything, just have fun with the hubby and just keep my fingers crossed. but everyone is different. i found that it was more added stress, when trying to conceive a child. I hope that you will be the next one that gets pregnant! Good Luck and again Welcome!

Welcome to the board. I am very sorry for your loss. My sister-in-law lost her 1st at 10w due to a large sub-chorionic bleed. Bless her heart the 1st doctor she went to was a witch and told her 'if you are going to m/c you're going to m/c. Nothing we can do about it.' Well she landed herself in the ER 3 times in 3 weeks due to all the bleeding and I finally talked her into going to my OB (He delievered my DD and has cared for me with all 3 pg). By the time she got to him on Friday her uterus was filled with blood but she did get to see your baby moving on the u/s. He said that it was the largest bleed he has ever seen in his 30 years as an OB. She ended up loosing the baby that Sunday (a week before I lost mine). She ended up having a d&c due to all the blood.

Well she had another follow up appointment with our OB (we share him now) and he told her that this was just horrible luck and that she has the all clear to start ttc. He also said that just b/c you have a sub-chorionic bleed with one pg does not mean you will have another one.

It is really scary to think about being PG again. DH and I lost our 1st but we went on to have a healthy baby girl with our 2nd pg. I can happen, but I will tell you that I was scared all 9 months with my DD. I really hope that you get the healthy pg and happy baby you are longing for.

I am new here too. We had our 2nd m/c May 25, 2007 and just now got AF so I am offically ttc again. I am also on CD 3 so if you want we can be cycle buddies I will keep your family in my T&P.

You can tell if you ovulate by a drop in temp and then a quick rise. You have to have a Basal Body Thermometer. (I got mine at CVS for $13) It's really fun to see what your body is doing.

Smoshfrogs is right too though if it's meant to happen it will. Temping won't cause pregnancy.... baby dancing does

Thanks so much for the reply. It is really helpful to know others that have been through it and gone on to conceive again. That would be great if you want to be cycle buddy's. I hope it happens this month! I want to see 2 lines
