I want to start charting but I don't really have a clue on what I'm doing. I am able to come off of birthcontrol in two weeks so I wanted to get as much info as i can before then. Any tips or suggestions?

Charting is pretty easy and can be a lot of fun. I got my BBT at CVS for $13.

The key is to take your temp as close to the same time each day and as soon as you wake up.

The links Tosha gave you are great. I really like fertility friend. The course they send you through email is great for learning how to chart.

Any questions...just ask

On 1/31 at exactly 16 weeks pregnant Noah came too soon. He was our 7th loss
If you would like to see pictures of my sweet (but tiny) boy they can be viewed at www.caringbridge.org/visit/noahdarrohn they aren't the easiest pitures to look at but I am willing to share them with anyone who would like to see them <3

Thank you so much. I went and registered for fertility friend and it seems like a great site. I also printed of some fertility charts so that I can start as soon as I stop the birth control. Do you start taking your temp after AF is done?

You can do it either way. It wont really affect your chart if you don't temp during AF and sometimes those temps can be erratic but if you do, you will have a more complete looking chart. Just remember that the first day of AF is CD1 and go ahead and put your menses into FF even if you don't temp. Charting is really addicting and I think it is kind of fun to try and guess when your temp rise will be!
